I enjoy anything very much out of the ordinary: Eraserhead along with David Lynch's other works, Tetsuo: Iron Man (Tsukamoto), The Holy Mountain (Jodorowsky), Gozu (Takashi Miike), etc.

Can you recommend me anything like these? - it needn't be extreme in content, just extremely odd in atmosphere.

Well, in terms of David Lynch you should really see "Lost Highway" "Mulholland Drive" and "Inland Empire"

You may also like some of David Cronenburgs early work like "Videodrome" or perhaps "Crash" from 1996, which has a sort of bizarre subject matter.

I can also advise a film called "Gummo", although it is disturbing rather than weird.

Yeah Mulholland Drive like you mentioned. Maybe Memento but it's really just an awesome movie, and not tooooo bizarre.

Nothing can really top Mulholland Drive for me.

A Clockwork Orange pretty much defines the term "Bizarre Movie" so I recommend that.

Your list is pretty accurate as to excessively bizarre films. I'd also recommend seeing El Topo, another film by Jodorowsky which is similar to Holy Mountain. Fantastic Planet is pretty bizarre as well, but not in a disturbing way. Un Chien Andalou is a short film made by Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí which is the perfect example of surrealist cinema, and therefore is really weird as well.

Some others:

Visitor Q (Takashi Miike), Permanent Vacations (Jim Jarmusch), Gummo (Harmony Korine), Delicatessen (Caro, Jeunet), Sleep, Empire and basically anything directed by Andy Warhol, The Pillow Book (Peter Greenaway), Naked Lunch or Videodrome(David Cronenberg), Last Year at Marienbad (Alain Resnais), and so on.

Bio_Spark

What the hell is that? Sean Connery's in it lol. What the.... Huh? I must of seen that, no way one could of slipped by me. Could it of been THAT bad.

Still I bet Naked Lunch will kick it's ass. Anyone seen that here. I'm really lost for words to describe it.

Naked Lunch really surprised me. The book is still extremely bizarre, even more than the movie, and I find it hard to believe that anyone could make a film adaptation for that.

I think Donnie Darko is a film to be added. And maybe Southland Tales. That director always keeps up with those bloody ****ing confusing movies.

i think clockwork orange, along with the majority of Kubrick films (like 2001, Eyes Wide Shut, etc.), is very bizarre. but bizarre can always turn out to be awesome.

I second this.

Although I believe it is one of the best movies ever. Seeing Sean Connery run around in a speedo, and a flying head carrying guns is probably one of the better things I've witnessed.

It's a still shot of 'Looking Glass' by The Birthday Massacre. The band I've got heavily into recently.
