And could you kill it unarmed? Also normally I wouldn't have to mention this but this is gamespot so for the sake of this hypothetical dog men or any possible combination of a man and dog are also excluded from this scenario.

I don't speak Canadian, what is that in feet?
That was a joke btw, I can just google it.
I don't think there's three meter long snakes in Canada. There are, however, 3 meter long snakes in any other part of the world that doesn't use stupid measurements, aka everywhere but the U.S. pretty much. To (loosely) quote Cracked.com. The imperial system is based on the size of body parts, salty fluids, and internal body temperature. That's not a system of measurement, that's porn. There actually was an alligator in the lake behind my home.
Don't know if animal control took care of it or not - most likely they did.
There's a crow(?) nest a couple houses over from mine, and they like to dive bomb people and dogs.

I watched a group of crows attack one outsider when it tried to get near their nest. They literally ripped its' skin off midair. It was disgusting. Stay vigilant.
EDIT: Of course, I mean 'outsider' as in a crow from a different flock (murder? I think that's what a crow flock is called), not a person.
... black bear, coyote, rabbid racoon/fox. These are the one's I've actually seen around my home.
I live in the country, like "amish are my next-door neighbors" country. My high school was in a corn field. I've seen more bears in the last 10 years than most of you will see in your entire life times.
