Anyone else have them at the minute ?

Had them about a year now, but they got more frequent so decided to go to opticians today, nothing wrong with my eye no retinal detachments or anything.

So just gotta wait for them to float out of my sight.

Mine are like 2 circles mainly in my right eye only, the odd time a wavy line passes with them.

So what are yours like how long you had them and do they annoy you ?

I got quite a few of them. They're kind of annoying, but I don't notice them all that often.

I get them sometimes, if you look close enough and concentrate you can see lots of tiny ripples on your eye surface which is just the fluid moving about.

Ye I never at first, but past 2 month instead of blank surfaces like wall or sky I just saw them all the time so went to get them checked.

I got these eye drops to widen my pupil, the effect lasted 4 hours, it was really sunny outside so my pupils did not get smaller as normal they just took in all this light I could not see a thing, lol I walked like a mile with my eyes barely open.

i get them from time to time. reminds me of this

"Oh squiggly line in my eye fluid

I see you there,

Lurking on the periphery of my vision

But when I try to look at you,

You scurry away!

Are you shy, squiggly line?

Why only when I ignore you

Do you return to the center of my eye?

Oh, squiggly line,

It's all right

You are forgiven!"

MANY ? I think you should see an optician, mine said to me if you get a shower load of them or larger ones then it could be retinal detachment, inflamitions or other serious eye damage.

I have a couple of them. They only appear in very bright light and don't really cause any distraction or obstruction of vision. I'm pretty sure I've had them as long as I can remember. They don't bother me.

Do you people know what they are? Well your eyeball is filled jelly, and sometime this jelly tends to fold over itself creating what we know as "floaters." Those little dots floating around in the air are just tiny folds in the jelly, there is nothing wrong with your eye and they probably occur so frequently for you guys because you stare at the computer screen a lot.

WRONG !

Look I used to do welding, I mentioned this to my optician, he said that would not cause eye floaters, so if intense weldings flashes don't cause them I don't think a computer screen would. Also it's something like 98% of something in your eye is liquid and 2% is solid sometimes the solid breaks off like some sort of protein and also it's just dirt trapped in the gel like layer of your eye.

Why you seem it is necessary to explain this I did say I had been to an optician, as an expert in eyes didn't you think he had explained this, also you say their is nothing wrong with people who have these, did you not hear the part about retinal detatchments.

Please google or wiki the topic in question before making a somewhat false statement :D

Actually, when you are young you have a vein in your eye that helps your eyes grow and become larger, but when you are born, you don't need the vein any more so eventually the vein explodes and what you see are actually peices of vein "floating" around in your eye.

Can't say I've ever experienced them. Like is it something that you see on your eye or does it appear in front of you but one you try to look at it straight on it moves again? I wish I could get a picture or some animated video of what it appears like.

Yeah, I have floaters. I have really awful eyes in general. My floaters kind of come and go. I haven't really seen them in a year or two, but they were really bad a couple of years ago when I was 15. They always freaked me out, because I thought that I was seeing bugs in my peripheral vision all the time, but it was just the floaters...

I have them. But maybe it's because I had laser done on my eye to prevent retinal detachment and my pupils are dialated. They've been like that for over a year now.

Have had one in my left eye for years. Isn't going anywhere I guess but then I don't notice it all the time.
