Ive heard this a few times and it sounds believeable... Cops often scout around on facebook to see if any huge parties have been advertised for the weekend or holidays, and to see if anyone going is underage.
My friend was fined about a month ago before her party really started, and without any warnings... And this was only after about 70 people confirmed they wanted to attend on facebook.

i dont know about cops but teachers in my school are such losers. they spend alot of their time patrolling facebook to catch people virtually bullying people like calling them names.

there was this one time when a friend of mine made a group called "if this group reaches 60 i'll name all my kids courtney". the teachers caught him and said it was bullying so they gave him a friday detention and a saturday mornign detention. and all the officers (which was like 20 people) also got detentions.

weird.

Not saying your friend was but is it really a bad thing that your teachers are being so pro active about stopping bullying esp on the web which is a real issue and can cause great harm to people???

And that was bullying how? And how can teachers punish you for something you do outside of school? If I got detention for something I did outside of school, I'd say no.

i dont think i explained the situation properly. the kid courtney wasnt actually being bullied. he didnt find it offensive and my friend who did it didnt intend it to offensive but here come the teachers with a big "**** you its offensive, detention".

I dunno, i think teachers should leaves thier jobs at work when they go home... They dont have to supervise your life as great as that would be...

On an unrelated note, my friend said he would get a Colt.45 tatoo if 300 people joined his group... 300 did :o

Your friend actually served the detention? What a pushover and a loser. Out of school, he's allowed to say what he wants. The school can't take away his freedom of speech outside their property. I can't believe he bend over and took it.

It's just a party. Why do people get arrrested for having them?

What's next, breaking into a 5 year olds birthday party at Chuck E Cheese?!?!?!

For starters, you can get fined for excessive noise. No one said arrested...
