Family guy is completely different. They use random jokes that don't fit into the plot line, but still crack you up. King of the Hill is just a bad show. I would rather watch Sienfeld, and that's saying a lot.monkeytoes61

i'd much rather watch Seinfeld than any other show, Family guy or King of the Hill have no re-watchability. Seinfeld relies on actual laughs rather than jsut cheap stuff.

Family Guy while funny really relies on 3 characters which is peter, bryan (usually with stewie) then Stewie being the strongest. alot of the time its not funny though as alot of the jokes can be hit and miss. King of the hill is jsut ridiculously not funny or entertaining.

And how the hell is Family guy copying King of the hill that show isnt funny and in no way simliar at all.

Oh, I completely agree. I prefer King of the Hill to The Simpsons, Family Guy, and sometimes even South Park. King of the Hill deals with 'real' people, as opposed to stereotypes like in all of the other shows I mentioned. Hank is a believable character, and si are his family and his buddies. The show also allows for more social commentary than those other shows.Lord__Darkstorn

I watch them both whenever they're on since they have nothing in common. King of the Hill is funny every once in a while, while Family Guy is hilarious throughout the entire show (with a few exceptions with dumb episodes).

Why does everyone seem to hate King of The Hill? I love it. I find it more enjoyable to watch than Family Guy. It's so different than the crazy characters thing (barring Dale, but he's somewhat normal despite all the conspiracy theories) that so many animated shows go for. Hank is just so politically correct that its funny. I've always seen it like this.

South Park>Futurama>The Simpsons (early)>King of The Hill>Family Guy.

I'm not even going to mention American Dad. Anyway, I enjoy it :D

Whoah, seriously bad taste alert. Dislikes "King of the Hill" and "Seinfeld"?

As for the thread, the two are very little alike. Try watching ten episodes each and write down whats not similar, you will find a lot. KOTH is a lot less wackier and a lot more down to earth than FG.

EDIT- People who bash Seinfeld normally have only watched bits of an episode, you really need to see a full episode from beginning to end to really get the genius. Try watching some season 4/5/6 episodes from beginning to end and then tell me its not amazing.

Fine if you think Family Guy is funny nowadays, but King of the Hill isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Sure, most of the time the humor gets stale, but its the constant mockery of the Southern lifestyle plus important messages that makes King of the Hill better than todays Family Guy (unfortunately, the new KOTH has been downhill.)

King of the Hill is probably the most non cartoonesque animated show out there. It really tries to be an adult sitcom with humor based on the simple life. Family Guy is no where close to King of the Hill.

I love how incorrect this is. It even has potential to have slight epic-ness in it.

Family Guy is a far left randomized cartoon with little to no funny jokes that rely on random jokes and breaking social barriers that probably shouldnt be broken. I recall them making fun of the 4 year old girl who died, her name escapes me at the moment, big news thing. Not cool.

King of the Hill has better plot lines and tends to go with more subtle humor, and i find it very enjoyable to watch.
