family guy or the simpsons??

At the moment I prefer Family Guy but when I was younger I loved watching the Simpsons

I've laughed more at Family Guy, but The Simpsons is watchable more than once without the entire show falling to pieces as its humour isn't as shallow.

Having said that, both shows have been crap for a while. The Simpsons peaked years ago and Family Guy was much funnier before it was canceled.

I love Homer because he's the only one who knows how to play a pig right.

That's pretty much how I feel.  The Simpsons has lost all creativity, and the current Family Guy is getting too crude.

In all honesty, I've grown tired of both series.  Right now as far as watching animated humor, I'm waiting for the new seasons of The Boondocks and Robot Chicken to start up again.

Can't wait until next year when it comes back. I don't think there's a bad episode in it's short, but great first time run.

I think it's the "smartest" out of all 3 of them.

I didn't mean the characters.

I meant that, unlike Family Guy which relies completely on crude/random humor, I feel that they've made more of an intelligent charm about some of the stuff they did in Futurama.

Family guy, Stewie FTW. I like the simpsons also but family guy is just more fun.thanatose

I would agree about Stewie for season 1-3, but honestly, now he's just a closet homosexual... no more evil, no more plots to take over the world... it's not Stewie, Stewie was a slightly sexually confused but mostly evil genius baby.

Simpsons.

Family Guy was funny for 2 seasons, Simpsons was funny for 10-ish. I say Simpsons.

Simpsons is still funny but only at some moments. Family Guy was good for the first 3 seasons but then they ran out of good ideas. Even South Park is getting boring nowadays.

Simpsons is still classic and there are so many episodes I haven't seen so there should be some funny stuff that's worth seeing. Not to mention the movie coming out....
