Family Guy.

Simpsons was funny in a time when people were less accepting of controvercial humor. Now, it's outdated and the show should have ended with dignity years ago. The "that 90's show" episode proved to me it has become utter crap.

Man, And I was thinking about buying the Simpson's movie because i didn't see it yet. I still think they are funny; i know they was around for a while but i havn't seen all of the episodes yet.

i was going to put South Park, but thats almost in its own class.

Simpsons, admittedly the new episodes are crap however it has a good ten years of funny before that, Family Guy on the other hand started out crap and is still crap, with no signs of getting better.

Total agreement here. I voted Simpsons under the assumption of All time best. But the Simpsons hasnt been funny in at least 5 years, with the occasional exception. Family Guy is great in my opinion ,but the South Park Family Guy show couldnt have been more true, random humor and obscure references. I also agree South Park should be on this list, like it is every other time someone asks this about once a week.

At this point, I like neither.

But I still watch the simpson season's 1 through 10 even up to this day.

They STILL make me laugh more than any other modern TV show... new Simpsons and Family guy are just horrible renditions of modern media to please modern society.

Family Guy is stale a boring now relying way to much on its fanbase and random jokes that give a quick burst of laughs which are not funny the second time.

The older Simpsons episodes were memorable because of its story, character development (something that should be MANDATORY IN EVERY TV SHOW), and satirical obsurdity. Now it seems that the creators of The Simpsons are running out of ideas, but you can't blame them. They've already done everything. Once you resort to relying on current events topics, thats when a show gets stale.

South Park used to be on a downward slope with its constant current events "Michael Bay-like" approach to jokes (i know that what they were trying to do (as they did with Team America)) but the the newer episodes feel fresh and more original. They feel like a throwback to the older, sillier episodes of the show.

I like South Park over both but The Simpsons by a mile over Family Guy. I've watched five episodes of Family Guy and laughed one time -- total.

Southpark, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, then Family guy, then Simpsons...... in that orderTalldude80

Agreed... I'll take Aqua Teen any day... ooooh and Robot Chicken! But I like Family Guy more than the Simpsons.

The Simpsons no doubt, even though its been kinda sluggish lately. Ah well, Family Guy was fun while it lasted before it got cancelled and turned into the crap it became.

The Simpsons: stopped being laugh out loud funny years ago. Now it's mildly amusing, and approaching the point of being unwatchable.

Both shows suck. Two or three years ago, it would've been Family Guy hands down. But ever since the third season, the show has been terrible. On the otherhand, it took The Simpsons until season 10 to become pretty unspectacular, so I guess The Simpsons win.

Most hardcore Simpsons fans can agree that Simpsons stopped being funny around 2001, after the episode where they make fun of the Blue Oyster Cult, although there are still funny some episodes in the newer ones

Same with family guy, seems like they cant come up with new material now, and IMO i think the old family guys were funnier than the new ones

But if I had to take one, my leaning is The Simpsons. Family guy can make me laugh harder because at times the shock value of the humour is just so far out there but the Simpsons is consistant, I don't see myself rewatching a Family Guy episode more then twice, whereas the Simpsons I can watch most of then over and over.

I would say that fam guy and simpsons are more similar.

South park and Futurama are alike as well.

My faves would go out to south park and family guys. Quagmire-Stewie-Cartman are all the best. Peter is not bad himself. Simpsons are OK with me but bart and homer make the shows and that gets boring for me sometimes.

Simpsons, hands down. Even new Simpsons episodes are better then Family Guy IMO. Now, if you had said Family Guy first 3 seasons vs. current simpsons, I'd go with Family Guy. It's a show that should've stayed off the air after it's initial run IMO, i haven't laughed in over a year from Family Guy.

BTW, South Park FTW.;)
