To people who know what great writing is, the answer is obvious. But I'm curious how many people there are who don't, and that's what this poll is for. Oh, and we're talking about both shows at their best. They've both had some terrible episodes lately.
yeah i recon the simpsons are alot better but family guy is gaining fast recently. so in the end simspons are better.......but not as good as south park......
simpsons win...as funny as Family Guy is, its more focused on the small joke (like the akward pose joke) and does flashbacks too much, although this is funny its too repetative. Simpsons also has more celebrity cameos and the jokes are (whats the right word) they're just better. anyways though i think for funny family guy wins (actually south park does :P) but for entertainment i'd rather watch simpsons (but i still watch family guy)
Family Guy blatently rips off other shows and most of the jokes have nothing to do with the story. It's a funny show, but not nearely as clever as The Simpsons.
I don't like Family Guy (South Park Cartoon Wars puts it perfectly) and I love The Simpsons. Quality has been declining but there's only so many storylines they can have.
The Simpson's were great when they first came on the air. Five years later they started getting really really bad. However, in the last two years, it seems the writing for the show has gotten a lot better.
Family guys's first two seasons were wonderful. However, pretty much all their new episodes are just... awful.
