Here is my team (12-team league):

QB: Michael Vick, Sam Bradford

RB: Peyton Hillis, Rashard Mendenhall, Knowshon Moreno, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Ryan Torrain

WR: Greg Jennings, Johnny Knox, Davone Bess, Mike Thomas, Lance Moore

TE: Jacob Tamme

K: Dan Carpenter, Neil Rackers

DEF: Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears

Here is the trade offered me:

I get: Maurice Jones-Drew, Steve Johnson, LeGarrette Blount

He gets: Chicago Bears, Peyton Hillis, and Knowshon Moreno

Thoughts? I believe I already have my answer, but I wanted a few other opinions without sharing mine just yet.

How can you guys still trade? Don't most leagues have a deadline that long since passed? Defense is easily replaceable...who cares about that. Blount is unreliable. I would never start him. This is basically a Hillis deal for MJD and Steve Johnson. You are going to start Hillis, mendenhall, and Bradshaw every week But Johnson is an upgrade over your second WR It is close IMO

I'd do it.

The Bears' defense doesn't really give you that much of an advantage since you have GB's defense anyway.
Moreno for Blount is more or less a wash.
Hillis has been a beast but MJD is great too..and Steve Johnson will probably help your (pretty weak) WR situation.

MLD is okay (on my team) But S. Johnson has been good to me (except for last week). I start him over Miles Austin (I also have Jennings). Hillis is a beast though. I would try and trade Moreno and Torian for Johnson

Our league manager made the trade deadline at the end of the regular season. It's very close IMO too. Blount has an EASY playoff schedule, but I probably wouldn't start him. Steve Johnson definitely upgrades my offense.

Just FYI, it's a PPR league so Davone Bess and Mike Thomas haven't been that bad for me this year. I'm about 75% inclined to make the trade because I don't need the Chicago defense. I would start GB anyway unless I have it to the second round of the playoffs when they play New England.

Did not know it was a PPR league. I would still try and do what I said (get rid of RB's you won't use for a good WR) Hell, even trade Chicago D + Moreno + Torrian for Johnson. All that matters is making your team the best possible for the playoffs

One more thing to note, Moreno has been hot the last three weeks and has an EASY playoff schedule. I know he wouldn't take Torrain btw.

I think Denver will start Tebow at some point (making life hell for Moreno). I have Orton as my number 2 QB and tried to trade him for this reason (Rivers is my #1)

Interesting idea, so would you do the original trade or the one you proposed above? I think it really depends how you balue Jones-Drew vs. Hillis. Tough call.

I have had MJD all year. He is hot right now, but he is not that great this year IMO (not on a Hillis level anyways). The only RB better than Hillis at this point IMO is Foster. I would not trade Hillis (now watch him get hurt b/c I said that LOL) I would try and give him the D he wants + Moreno for an ugrade to your WR's

If he would take it, that is an even better deal for you (then you get MJD + Hillis + S Johnson + Jennings + Bradshaw)

OK, I'm going to try and substitute Mendenhall for Hillis. If that's a no, I'll offer Chicago + Moreno for S. Johnson. I think both of those are home runs. Of course, I need S. Johnson to play well and Moreno to play terrible to feel good about it. :D

No matter what, it is all about who you will start each week. No point in having someone on your bench the whole time (Moreno) when you could trade them for something that will help you(even if it ends up being of lesser value)

Very true. I'll let you know what deal ends up getting made. Good thing is I'm #2 in the league right now. I think I have a good chance of going all the way.
