i worked at a sbarro's for like 2 days, i didn't like it too much. You've got to start working somewhere though. My first job was at Kinko's. I liked it alot, i wanted to get into an office job so it worked pretty well.
An experience. It can hectic, or boring. It can be fun or frustrating. It's best to work with friends, and you'll most likely have a manager you don't like that makes your job worse. Plus, some customers can complete idiots and total asses.
I wouldn't neccessarily call my place "fast food", but I'm a cook and sometimes a cashier at a restaurant on my college campus its only bad when there are a bajillion orders(alwaysduring lunch or dinner). Customers always come in waves, and seldom complaint (never when I'm cooking, I'm pro that way ;) I like the job because there are no kids or adults complaining. College students are generally nice and polite. I get free food, and watch t.v. when its dead :)

I first started working for PC World (european computer superstore) during peak season. They hired on quite a lot of temporary staff. Only a few of them were going to be offered a permanent job at the end of it. So they really could work you then. The first few months were kind of like boot camp, but once they gave out the proper jobs (one of which went to me!), it became so much easier and more fun...
