Father hospitalizes 3 year old daughter for losing a video game.

"Japan's Sanspo is reporting that a 39 year-old Yukihiko Sakata was arrested after repeatedly striking his 3 year-old daughter in the head and around the eyes with a plastic toy. "I was getting back for losing at a video game," the father said in a sworn statement. The child needs to be hospitalized for a month. "

This is just sad.

This actually reminds me of a story. Last year, these Asian people were playing ping pong and one of the older ones were playing against a kid, probably no more than 5. I went to a different room for a while but when I came out, the older guy was pissed to the point where his head looked like a tomato and the kid was standing alone at the pong table looking like he just got scolded. Another one of the older Asian guys had to sit with the older one just to talk sense into him or just calm him down. I could have just not understood what was really happening though since I think they were talking in Chinese. From what it looked like though, this story really reminded me of that.
