Its been a pretty crap year imo but a few bands have released some good stuff.

Surfer Blood - Swim off the album "Astro Coast"

Black Keys - Tighten Up off the album "Brothers" (PS - awesome awesome video)

The Roots - Dear God 2.0 ft Monsters of Folk off the album "How I Got Over"

Little Brother - Revenge off the album "Left Back"

Reflection Eternal - Strangers(paranoid) off the album "Revolutions per Minute"

Alcest - Ecailles De Lune

Les Discrets - Septembre et Ses Dernieres Pensees

God is an Astronaut - Age of the Fifth Sun

Man i need to listen to more music...too many other things going on :(

I loved How I Got Over & Revolutions Per Minute, but my favorite album this year is probably PackFM's 'I ****ing Hate Rappers".

Gah why am i so bad at articulating ideas. All he is saying is that he doesn't want any of that real crap that's out there before he tries out circa survive and that he is more into his oldies. He isn't actually commenting on the band at all, just asking if it is anything like a lot of the generic stuff out there before he tries it. But yeah. Hopefully someone tries out the bands I suggested :)
