What is your favorite band and who is your least favorite band? Why?

Perhaps you could share yours with us first?megageneOkay, since you asked. My favorite band is The Offspring. I enjoy their music because they have a balance of serious songs along with some saterical and funny songs that get a laugh. They've been in the business for over 20 years and never sease to amaze me. Their musianship and loyality to their fans is beyond most bands that I've seen or met. They never gave up (even after trying to get signed for 8 years [I have two of their biographies]) and are still rocking out. My least favorite band is Municipal Waste. I saw them live when they opened for Lamb of God. They told the audience to screw off and that they were the greatest band in the world. I will tell you right now, they have no creativity in their music. Its all power-chords with fast double bass and very fast and vulgar vocals with a 2 second guitar solo in a few of their songs. They have no musicianship, talent, or stage appeal. All their songs sound the same and are based on a 4 chord power-chord change.
Favorite.... I think I would have to go with Ladytron. I love every single one of their songs.
Least: Nickelback. Listen to them, and you will know why.
Favourite is Alexisonfire. (My sig and username hit it alot.)
Least Favourite is probably Fallout Boy or any of those wannabe bands.

I met Dallas and George at the last concert I saw of them. George thought I was 18 and kept offering me drinks, while Dallas showed me how to play Accidents. They're a pretty awesome groupFavorite- Immortal
I love the atmospheric lyrics, precise drum fills (with Horgh, at least), mellow guitar interludes and Abbath's reptilian-esque voice.
Least favorite- Creed
I can't stand the lyrics, there's little to no intensity, Stapp has the most limited range I've ever heard, the guitarist thinks he's such hot ****.

RexDarr
I am extremely jelouse. :o I've been a loyal fan for a long time. I've seen them live once in 2007, had to travel through a snow storm for 3 hours and get back the next day for school, but it was worth it. I am going to see them in March again. :D

I broke up with my ex that night, so I brought along a friend, we moshed through all the bands, it was funny. At one point George jumped in and started moshing, he grabbed my shirt and I almost elbowed him xD. They are a sick band. AND CANADIAN TOO!! (one of the few amazing bands we have out here lol)Favorite - Iron Maiden, great instrumentals, tons of great albums, and some of the best song lyrics around.
Least favorite band- BrokenCYDE: Words cannot describe it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCgoBnSCt0c Click if you dare.

Least favorite-Black Eyed Peas/Justin Beiber clubsammich91For some strange reason I can't figure out, these "musicians" are popular at my school. Over 50% of the kids there probably don't even know who George Harrison is. Sad.

At my school (which is a highschool), only a handful of kids in BAND couldn't even name the guitarist of AC/DC, singer of Led Zeppelin, or any of The Beatles members. Its really sad. Its only the members in the jazz band (16 students out of the 92 band students) can name members of classic rock bands. Its pitiful how "school kids" listen to that kind of music but can't name any members of it...[QUOTE="clubsammich91"]Least favorite-Black Eyed Peas/Justin Beiber ice_rootbeer

Everyone's into Top 40 stuff, and yet they couldn't tell you who John Lennon is, or why Angus Young is famous.[QUOTE="clubsammich91"]Least favorite-Black Eyed Peas/Justin Beiber RexDarr

Hmm, well, I'm pretty big on all of the Beatles' albums, but I especially like Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Abbey Road, and Rubber Soul. They're all excellent though.
Here's a list of a bunch of different songs of theirs (I tried to pick really varied ones):
"I Am the Walrus"
"Don't Let Me Down"
"I'll Be Back"
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"Hey Bulldog"
"Strawberry Fields Forever"
"A Day in the Life"
"Within You Without You"
"I'm Only Sleeping"
"Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!"
"Yer Blues"
etc.
