Goosebums. That serious is what got me into reading back in the day. Pirate700Good one! Goosebumps were pretty fun. I started with Dragonlance, though.
Foundation and LotR. Then Ender's Game. Then Wheel of Time. Then Death Gate Cycle, Robot series, Sword of Truth, Magic Kingdom for Sale: Sold, Chaos series, Icewind Dale series (plural), Dragons of Autumn Twilight etc. series, Xanth, ... I can go on.Jandurin
Then do so.

Rama series, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant series, Mordant's Need series, Discworld, Shogun series (though I've only got through the first book), Heinlein's books... hmm, I need to think more. Oh yeah, the Shannara books by Terry Brooks are good, he did the magic kingdom series as well. I really liked Christopher Stasheff's series, Anne Rice's vampire books were good...Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit. The Elric Saga, The Drizzt books, Landover, Shannara, Riftwar Saga, The Hickman/Weis Dragonlance books, Wheel of Time, Zahn's Star Wars, The Death Gate Cycle, and various Forgotten Realms books about Elminster or Avatars.xarcaThose Elric books are weird but cool. And reminds me of another series, the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser novels by Fritz Leiber.
