The Incredibles. When is it going to get the Blu-Ray treatment  This, Finding Nemo and both Toy Stories are the only Pixar movies not on Blu-Ray. I own the rest.

Just had a Pixar binge tonight. Watched the two-hour Pixar short special followed by Up. I'd have to say out of all of their movies, The Incredibles is my favorite. I haven't seen a bad Pixar movie yet, though, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them all.

My favorite Pixar film is a tie betwixt Wall-E and The Incredibles although it's not much of a long list as I only consider Ratatouille and Up as their only other standout films.

As far as Disney goes Peter Pan still has this massive childhood lock on me that keeps it at the #1 spot and that's usually quickly followed by Fantasia, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Jungle Book, Aladdin, and...well really quite a lot actually.

Monster's Inc gets an A+ from me and is easily my favorite Disney/Pixar film. The concept was so briliant because of their ability to take a far-fetched theme and bring it down to earth. You could just imagine the conference between the writers, "What's a monster in a traditional sense? What do they do?How do we incorporate this to fit our demographic? They scare children, it's their job." And from that, the movie was literally about imaginative monsters who went to work like normal human beings at a corporation that specializes in scaring children. Add in some wacky misadventures, good voice-over casting, and you've got brilliance.

The Incredibles had similar effect, so it comes in to a close 2nd for me.

Grouping Toy Story and Toy Story 2 together in the poll is just unfair.

Anyway, I liked WALL-E the best. It kind of broke down once they left earth, but that first half hour of the movie was something incredible.

The part where WALL-E and EVE were flying around outside the ship was also breathtaking.

Eh, it wasn't terrible, just wasn't very good. Compared to other Pixar movies it doesn't stack up IMHO, even to their other weak efforts.

I don't mind Pixar doing its thing but I'd take 2D over 3D any day. And that goes for any kind of animation.
