Favorite genres of music

my fav genres and top artists in each one (imo)

Hip Hop/Rap- NaS, Kanye West, Mos Def, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z

Rock- The Strokes, The Killers, Bloc Party, The Ramones

Country- Johnny Cash(well, he's the only person in country that i like so i'm not really a fan of country, just of Cash)

I love Hip Hop.

But I also mostly love electronic music. From Psytrance to Breakcore. I like some more rock style stuff aswell, Radiohead, Muse, Johnny Cash.etc

Metal.Blood-Scribe

Electronic: Daft Punk, Crystal Castles. Justice, Girl Talk (to some extent)

Dance: Jamiroquai

Rock/Alternative: Gorillaz, Killers, Sum 41 (more punk)

Rap/Hip-Hop: Outkast, Nas, Common, De la Soul, Wu-Tang

Alt. Rock - The Strokes, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys
Hip-Hop/Rap - Wu-Tang, Nas, Mobb Deep, Eminem, Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Jay-Z
Spanish Rock - Mana, Soda Stereo, Gustavo Cerati
Spanish Pop - Reik, Camila, Belanova, Alicastro

Post-Rock. A LOT of the bands are incredibly repetitive, but the good ones are really good.

I'm also a pretty big fan of Electronica and Folk, and Classic Rock if that counts as an actual genre. 

Progressive Rock- Transatlantic, Rush, Yes Progressive Metal- Dream Theater, Shadow Gallery, Opeth Power Metal- Sonata Arctica, Blind GuardianRPG10080

Completely agree on Power metal and Prog metal.

rap- dipset, mainstream stuff

trance/techno/whatever its called- random stuff 

old school industrial - throbbing gristle, cabaret voltaire, whitehouse, nurse with wound, spk, einsturzende neubauten

ebm/electro industrial - skinny puppy, front line assembly, front 242, funker vogt, combichrist, hocico, haujobb, information society

all kinds of rock music - foo fighters, the cure, slipknot, pink floyd, the beatles, linkin park, pearl jam, coldplay, radiohead, iron maiden, opeth, nin

i like most kinds of music, but these are the most common types of music in my collection. the only types i really cant stand are pop, country, and happy hardcore.

Metal: although I'm beginning to drift away from this genre I still love some bands such as Primordial, Blind Guardian, Agalloch, Enslaved, Negura Bunget, Evoken, Empyrium, Wintersun, and some other stuff.

OST: Seriously some soundtracks are pretty amazing.
