I can see some similarities - over 100 films along with some video games and there's bound to be similarities. But there's some good variety to his work - Dark Knight sounds nothing like Rain Man, both of these sound different than Lion King, etc.most of this guys themes sound exactly the same

Funny this is brought up now. A lot of his stuff is pretty good, though a little overrated.
I don't know how much he had to do with this track in particular, but I've been listening to this for the past week. Absolutely love it. (From the Gladiator soundtrack, for the link-wary.)
I like Collapsing of a Dream. Like is an amazing understatement. Hans Zimmer's soundtrack MADE Inception what it is.
On a side-note, I've been waking up to the Inception OST since Friday. Gives you an early jump and this misconception (in your case, not mine) of you being a bada**.

Not my favorite but..
Just got out of Rango and found his flight of the Valkyrie rendition hilariously awesome
Sky-
How was Rango? I am on the fence about viewing it.
I thought it was a good animated movie, and by far best cgi movie Nickelodeon has done.
I liked it as much as How to train your Dragon, but not as much as TS3.
Be warned, it gets surreal at the end (if your not into that).
spill.com review explains it well.(without spoiling anything)

Oh, wait, we're not spewing random sentences? I don't know you either, I just replied to your quote.
defintely Cheavliers de Sangrealfrom the movie The Da Vinci Code. It's a really emotional song with a lot of heart imo.
Lion Kingv13_KiiLtzHans Zimmer totally made the scene where Mufasa dies the great scene that it was. The fact that I can picture that scene perfectly based solely on the music says it all. That isn't to say it's only good as program music because it's great on its own merits. It's even got a bit of Mozart in there (2:46), and not for some superficial homage -if it was indeed intentional- either, since it's the Ave Verum Corpus theme along with the image of Simba trying to wake up Mufasa that makes me tear up nearly every damn time I see that scene.
