No American Football?
Never Meant has great lyrics.
"Under a red sky, I told her, "I want to die." And how I cry with no concrete reason why and have bad dreams every night, or every other night. I feel sickly, like I am lost at sea. And all the girls I used to know are high on ecstasy, and they're much happier than me, I think. She told me things would pass, like the girls who smoke the grass, like huffing gas out in the dried-up meadow grass under stars that shine like glass in the sun. And she said, "Would you shoot me in the head?" We shot the breeze and had malt liquor instead. Passed out together in the shed or the bed - I don't recall. I said: "What better way to put myself in my place? What better way to get out of this goddamn place? Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in this ****ing place. What better way to put myself in my place?" She said: "Broken hearts are easy to hide. Broken hearts are easy to ignore. See, when you break your heart, nothing really breaks. Look at me, and look at you: 18, and dead - At 16 you were almost dead. Just sleep with me in my bed, and don't say those things you said.""
no guys i dont really hate myself duh
"sad voices, they're calling, our precious girl, she can't be gone. how bitter this morning, when daddys darling, went out and started her day" thats from Fiddler on the Green by Demons and Wizards, it's a pretty depressing song.dante_123456
Demons and Wizards is pretty much Dungeons and Dragons nerds who just happen to play instruments. If you can honestly take their lyrics seriously, wow.
I really like Akon's lyrics myself.

Indeed, but Gnaw Right Through is so frantic and breathtaking. And Drop is just the saddest song I've ever heard. "so much that i can't say to you my voice shakes from the hurt that i hide ashamed of my existence and of my petty often wounded pride i'd like to come home to see you and to catch your sickness by the bedside but then you'd know how much i really need you all the love in an instant makes my life stop but then my hate for you makes my feelings altogether drop if only i were blind to your selfish fling and your desperate cause and didn't press you for the details that threaten my physical flaws i'd like to come home to see you and embrace your illness under soft light but then you'd know how much i really need you all the love in an instant makes my life stop but then my hate for you makes my feelings altogether drop so much that i can say to you with affection that i burn inside you're aching from the distance avoiding strain that's running still alive if only i could heal you in the sprinkling of the ocean side but then you'd know how much i really love you all the love in an instant makes my life stop but then my hate for you makes my feelings altogether drop"[QUOTE="dyingorchid"][QUOTE="WildLIkeChild"]Drop-Red House Painters or Gnaw Right Through-City of Caterpillar.WildLIkeChild

I've never actually heard Red House Painters.
What do they sound like? For some reason mid-90's emo comes to mind.
The memories that now rests in this forest
Forever shadowing the sunrise of my heart
Wings leave their nest at my coming
Swaying away unto the cold glowing sky
Dreaming away for a while
My spirit sighs in peace
Gazing unto the stars
Please, take me there
"Forest of October" by Opeth
Theones that come to mind right now are
San Sebastian - Sonata Arctica
Stumme Worte - Lacrimosa
El Templo del Adios - Mägo de Oz
La Posada de los Muertos - Mägo de Oz
This. And yeah, Reaction is a pretty good song. I really think it's the Inhale:Exhale part that gets me on Gnaw though. It's just so amazing.Red House Painters are pretty much slowcore.

Home - Three Days Grace
I'll be coming home
Just to be alone
Cause I know you're not there
And I know that you don't care
I can hardly wait to leave this place
No matter how hard I try
You're never satisfied
This is not a home
I think I'm better off alone
You always disappear
Even when you're here
This is not my home
I think I'm better off alone
Home, home, this house is not a
Home, home, this house is not a home
By the time you come home
I'm already stoned
You turn off the TV
And you scream at me
I can hardly wait
Till you get off my case
No matter how hard I try
You're never satisfied
This is not a home
I think I'm better off alone
You always disappear
Even when you're here
This is not my home

I'm not talking about the actual bands... I'm talking about the numbers. Number one and two are not next to Lacrimosa and Sonata Arctica; they are on the other side of the sig.

Haha, yeah. Thats definetly one of the most memorable parts of a Caterpillar song, along with "if it was airtight, we know you'll choke".
One of my recent favorites:
lay your head next to mine and we'll sleep one good sleep tonight.
fall asleep, love, to forget or to dream ... fall asleep to leave this world behind.
and i wish for you, friend, to lie down in peace and i wish for you always to know that as long as we'll dream under these stars in the sky that we've seen since the day we were born ...
... to move but don't move too fast for your dreams or your grandest of plans.
dream of nights of fireflies and skies so clear, so untouched. dream of a time, of a place for us to live, so free, so free.
just as quick as you can fall asleep.

Valentines Day - Linkin Park
My insides all turn to ash, So slow.
And blew away as I collapsed, So cold.
A black wind took them away, From sight.
And held the darkness over day, That night. And the clouds above move closer,
Looking so dissatisfied.
But the heartless wind kept blowing, blowing.I used to be my own protection, But not now.
Cause my path had lost direction, Somehow.
A black wind took you away, From sight.
And held the darkness over day, That night. And the clouds above move closer,
Looking so dissatisfied.
And the ground below grew colder,
As they put you down inside.
But the heartless wind kept blowing, blowing. So now you're gone,
And I was wrong.
I never knew what it was like,
To be aloneOn a Valentine's Day (Foreground, 12x)
I used to be my own protection,
But not now.
Cause my mind has lost direction,
Somehow. (Background, 2x)
I've actually never heard that song. I googled it though, how good is Defiance, Ohio? on a scale of 1-10.WildLIkeChild
That all depends on how much you like folk punk with violin, acoustic guitar, and upright bass.
And Moonspoon, didn't Brentos get banned a while back? Or maybe just reset?
