For those who like nu metal, what's your favorite nu metal band? Mine would be Mudvayne, and I love their L.D. 50 album.

Eerie, I was just going to make this thread. System of a Down would be my favorite nu-metal band, though I also like Disturbed a lot. I think Korn is also considered nu-metal (though I'm not 100% on that) and I really like them to.

I'm not sure whats classed as nu-metal, there are so many sub-genres out there nowadays i don't keep track of them.
But System of a Down are great so i'll go with them.
I've heard of them, and they're a good band.Anybody remember Spineshank? They were sick.

KoRn invented nu-metal so I would say they could be considered nu-metal. For me my favourite is definitely Deftones, they are incredible live. I also like KoRn and Limp Bizkit.Eerie, I was just going to make this thread. System of a Down would be my favorite nu-metal band, though I also like Disturbed a lot. Rage Against the Machine is the only band I like that could possibly be considered Nu Metal.bobbetybobThey're like rap rock mixed with alternative metal. And they are rap metal, not really a nu metal band. Anthrax created the first piece of rap metal, though.

With the exception of maybe 5 songs, Limp Bizkit is a joke of a band with a complete D-bag for a lead singer.
I don't see them on your last.fm page. :( :P[QUOTE="Bluestorm-Kalas"]

I was HUGE into them last summer before I made a last.fm account, bought all their albums and listened to a ton of them, then I just stopped. Then I got my new laptop, transferred their songs, and haven't listened to em since.

I see. I still like their first album, but I've grown out of them for the most part.I still like their first album, but I've grown out of them for the most part.

The other albums aren't as good anyway. Slipknot was a great band but they lost a bit of their quality with each album they released. Slipknot was awesome, Iowa was great, Vol. 3 was decent and All Hope Is Gone is just what the name indicates...
And yes, Slipknot is my answer on this thread and Spineshank comes close after.
Disturbed. Not much about the band stands out to me, but I like the Ten Thousands Fists album. There are a lot of catchy hooks.
No, they're like alternative metal mixed with progressive rock/metal.Does Tool count as nu metal?
