For some reason even though I lack any real romance i like watching romantic films. Maybe it is escapism into a world that will never happen to me:( Or maybe it's because they are delightful:)

1. Amelie

2. Secretary

3. In the mood for love

4. Harold and maude

5. Bright star

6. Let the right one in

7. All or nothing

8. Before sunset

9. Before sunrise

10. Lars and the real girl

11. High fidelity

12. It's a wonderful life

13. When Harry met sally

14. Tess

15. Breakfast on pluto

Just watched these two for the first time about two weeks ago. I still can't stop thinking about them. Both of them really struck a cord with me. I just adore them.

The Fly. You had to have known I'd mention it.

Almost Famous also works really great as a romantic comedy. Love the hell out of that movie.

I also view The Talented Mr Ripley as a romantic movie. It's just that the "romance" here isn't just confined to people but also to lifestyles. and Tom Ripley continually murders the people who he loves in order to maintain his romantic lifestyle.

Almost famous is a fantastic film. I have always liked Cameron crowe. His films remind me of John Hughes. Though I wasnt a fan of his last film Elizabethtown. Say Anything is still a favorite of mine. I love 80's romance films. Especially ones with John Cusack:D I actually got the Blu ray edition of The Fly recently.

Anything with Ryan Reynolds. I tend to like romance movies when there is a charismatic lead and it's not bogged down with false head in the clouds love. That might seem contradictory, but there's a difference between impossible and implausible.

I'm gonna go with Eternal Sunshine... that's perhaps my #1 favorite movie. I was about halfway through Before Sunrise a while ago but I got caught up with something. :( I'll have to finish it later.

Definitely maybe was pretty good, not the best, but enjoyable. Notebook was too heavy handed though. Just way too much melodrama.
