A very good choice, and certainly in my top 10 all-time favorites :).
I saw this book a few times at my local library it seems like it would fit right up my alley. I read alot of great criminal books dealing with the death penalty and serial killers, they are usually my favorite. But Fake ID was a favorite of mine not dealing with that stuff. The Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan.

Very good choice. I finally checked it out my self thanks to the anime series of the same title. As for me my favorites are To kill a Mocking bird by Harper Lee and The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.

For Whom the Bell Tolls, by Ernest Hemingway.chessmaster1989This is probably my number two,one if my choice does not qualify. My actual favorite would be his short story collection.
Either His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman (You can't just pick one of those :o) or any of the Tortall-universe books by Tamora Pierce, except Protector of the Weak. Was bad...DeihjanI enjoyed those right up to the third book. Then I just couldn't finish it. :(
