Deep Space Nine is my favorite and I think it was an amazing show.
DS9 > Next Gen > Enterprise > Voyager > Original
for me
I know that to be cool I'm supposed to say the original is my favorite, but...my favorite is The Next Generation. I was a boy when they were on the air, and I thought they were about the coolest thing ever. I remember being a kid and watching "The Best of Both Worlds," and at the end of the episode, you find out Picard has been turned into a Borg. Then Riker says "Fire," and then: "To be continued..." What?? No! Now I have to wait all summer to find out what happens! Great cliffhanger.
Now, I was also a kid when the movies were out, and I loved those too. I don't know if those count as their own series or as part of TOS. I remember seeing Undiscovered Country in theatres, which was awesome.
I thought Deep Spice Nine was good in the mid to later seasons, though I liked Babylon 5 better. After DS9, Star Trek got steadily worse until it became unwatchable.
▲ I would like to see a new series, but they've got to change things up. The franchise was getting old, stale and predictable.
My idea: Place it in a time when the federation is at war or has fallen. There will be no more prime directive. These two things already open up new story options for the series. ▲
I liked best the last half of DS9 from the start of the Klingon-Federation War to the end of the Alpha Quadrant-Dominion War.
As the series as a whole, TNG. Both DS9 and Voyager had lackluster beginnings but picked up later. The cancelled Enterprise...... I'm not sure if I even liked it. The original series..... too Sixties for me.
The movies..... I liked First Contact the most.

Palantas
They fall in the proper timelines as the rest of the series. It was the same with the three TNG movies. The uniforms especially was a good indicator. They made their first appearance during First Contact. They got passed on subsequent episodes of DS9 and later, Voyager when that ship finally regained contact with the Alpha Quadrant.
[QUOTE="EJ902"]I quite liked deep space nineInstalling
This.
This a 3rd time. DS9 had very interesting characters and a great story arc. The Dominion war is in my opinion the best story in Star Trek. However TNG follows very closely. The movies..... I liked First Contact the mostjun_aka_pektoSame I absolutely loved that movie. I really liked every Star Trek movie though except 1, 5 and Insurrection are a bit meh.
I liked the original and next generation tv episodes, whereas in next generation the human race is more like a virus.
I liked TNG and Deep Space Nine. Though honestly, the old Star Trek series was entertaining. All that tech and yet Kirk would end up fist fighting all the bad aliens. LOL.
when i was young and stayed at my grans, me and my uncle would stay up late watching star trek (deep space nine) so i guess that.

Enterprise would be the best if it had kept going.....seasons 3 and 4 are amazing.
Unfortunately 10 straight poor to mediocre episodes after Dead Stop in Season 2 killed the series, THAT is when the series lost most all of its audience.
Season 1 was decent, first 4 episodes of season 2 were great, but it is those 10 episodes after that killed the series before recovering with good episodes starting with Cease Fire late in Season 2. Too bad :(
So, my vote goes to Next Generation.
I loved the original series as well, which i watched in syndication as a boy in the early 70's
TNG, but I think Enterprise was much better than it's given credit for and a close second.
DS9 was boring, Voyager was awful, and TOS was very cheesy and has aged poorly.
The Next Generation. The Original Series has a little too outdated view of Scifi for my liking. I guess if i grew up with it i might have had a different opinion.
The original. Cheesy, cornball lines, bad acting and sorely outdated special effects and all...I loved it. Watched Starship Enterprise first, but then tried out the original on a whim. I ended up renting and watching all the VHS tapes of the original from the rental store.
