The FBI is viewing voter fraud committed by the liberal activist group ACORN. Apparently they registered fake voters like Mickey mouse.

Also I saw on tv that people in the House of Representatives say that ACORN receives federal funds and are talking about defunding them (which they should because why fund a group that's committing fraud?, but why stop there, Planned Parenthood receives $300 million dollars a year from the fed gov't, so why not defund them too).

Here are some suggestions that I have to deal with this fraud:

1. Invalidate all voter registrations that have been conducted by ACORN

2. Postpone the election until we can sort out all the voter registrations in order to weed out the fraud. If this takes past Nov. 20 the election day would have to be delayed until Dec. 30 or 31 (After Nov. 20 is too close to Thanksgiving, and after Thanksgiving would be during the Christmas season, so we would have to wait until after Christmas when there is nothing else going on).

The Feds will get to the bottom of this faster than we think. Mickey Mouse was not the only fake one. How about the entire Cowboys starting lineup in Nevada or a 7 yr old girl and the guy who was registered to vote 70 something times. I have a bad feeling about this election.

not every election, every U.S. election. This doesn't happen with the College of Cardinals (which is perhaps why they elect better people than we do).

Personally I wish that after this next election that everyone would be forced to register again. I mean EVERYONE. Its too late for this November election but enough is enough.

Thats right.. I forgot, you were the guy that thought it was a good idea to have the Catholic Cardinals to choose the president of the United States, over democratic elections.

You'd be invalidating voter registration of a large group of people based on a person's association (or worse supposed association) with an organization. It would be a state by state constitutional mess. No way judge would allow that.

If the FBI or another gov organization found individual fraudulent registrations that route they could go that route to eliminate individuals.

No. We would invalidate all the people who registered via ACORN, and then as we find the innocent one's we would re-validate them.

whipassmt

That's bad. The registrations that are completely valid would get thrown out as well, thus disenfranchising tons of people who committed no crime other than being helped by an organization. There is no evidence at the moment that I know of regarding a coordinated effort to commit voter fraud; rather, it seems to be unethical people acting on their own accord.

2. Postpone the election

whipassmt

I'm gonna stop this one right there, because if you even need me to tell you why this is easily the worst action we could possibly take, I don't know what to say.

But it is not like all the people who registered through Acorn are guilty. They just wanted to sign up. Acorn must be held responsible and the people committing the fraud within the organization.

Why not delay it. I know that does mean having more months to hear the stupid media talk about this boring election. But really why not delay it, so that we can make sure it's done right?

"Oh, hey guys, we've got a war going on, so that makes an election inconvenient, what with a changing of the guard in the midst of things and all. Can you hold off for a while until we get this war wrapped up?"

(a year later)

"Sorry guys, the war's still going, we're gonna need a little more time, hang tight."

(multiple years later)

"Hey guys, the war's done, but we think it's actually been pretty cool being your leaders, so we're just gonna go ahead and delay the election until we don't feel like being here anymore, okay?"

It isn't voter fraud until Mickey Mouse actually tries to vote, which won't happen.

ACORN is legally obligated to turn in EVERY application they recieve, as is every other voter registration organization. They separate them into different piles, one with one's they've been able to validate by calling the people, and another for the ones that are suspicious. It would be illegal if ACORN DIDN'T turn in these bogus applications.

This is seriously a non-issue.

That's a great reason to prevent someone from running as a candidate; shall we have the government draft a list of state-approved candidates? :P

I don't see how this can effect the election if the registered names don't exist. Seems to me like some of the members of the organization wanted to get paid without working, so they made up names.

They're the most dedicated.

Well if they cut their schlong off for their political party, they sure are deserving of merit for their devotion.
