It seems the allegations against Iran continue to build and sound more preposterous as they emerge. The latest reason to take down Iran surely will come with this fantasy story of how Ahmedinejad & leaders of Hezbollah financed and protected the role players of the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Director of the Center for Research on Globalization Michel Chossudovsky has told RT that calling Iran's officials - including the supreme leader - guilty of helping the 9/11 attackers is nothing but "a ploy."

On Thursday, families of victims of the September 11th 2001 attacks won a default judgment against Iran, the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and Lebanon-based Hezbollah. According to the lawsuit, people in Iran – including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei- provided support to the terrorists who went on to attack civilians on US soil. But Mr. Chossudovsky told RT he believes it's nothing but a cover-up, with Iran as a convenient fall guy.

"There is absolutely no evidence that Iran aided the 9/11 attacks. There is ample evidence after collection that there was conspiracy and the complicity of the US government…There is absolutely no evidence that Al Qaeda or the Taliban were involved in the 9/11 attacks. In fact, if there is anyone behind Al Qaeda, it was the Central Intelligence Agency, going back to the Soviet Afghan war", Chossudovsky said.

And this latest court ruling is part of the plan, according to Chossudovsky."We are dealing with fabrications whereby a war agenda, which has been on the Pentagon's drawing board for many years, is now seeking justification to go live – and we've seen the drone attacks, we've seen the sanctions."

US Court Claims Iranian Link to9/11

I'm curious to know how the widows gathered enough evidence to point the finger at Iran as to give their attorneys a good lead on where to continue "digging up" this incriminating evidence of Iran's compliance that lead to the death of these widows' husbands.

Same kind of bull**** that started happening leading up to the Iraq war. Let's celebrate pulling out some of our troops from Iraq and calling the war over by starting a new war!

I've heard about this case before. I think the accusation is that Hezbollah members helped arrange for the transportation of the 9/11 Hijackers.

It's tough to say if Iran and Hezbollah played a role in this, on the one hand Iran/Hezbollah don't like Al Qaeda on the other hand they also don't like America. I have heard that in the early days of al Qaeda it was trained and funded by Hezbollah. Hezbollah also condemned the 9/11 attacks, and I think they even blamed it them on Israel.

However Technically Saddam Hussein did attack the U.S. on 9/11. He wasn't involved, as far as we know in the 9/11 attacks, but on 9/11 he did shoot down a U.S. predator drone that was flying over Iraq as part of the no-fly zone patrol, so I guess technically Iraq attacked us on 9/11.

Can't trust these presidents. The last one planned 9/11 and the current one wasn't even born a U.S. citizen. lol. I wonder what other conspiracy theories there are about earlier presidents. It seems each president has their own conspiracy theory about them.

Really though, Bush wasn't even president for a year before 9/11 so I doubt he could've planned it in such a short time. I think al Qaeda started planning 9/11 back in 1996 or so.

What does it say about us? We were policing a no-fly zone authorized by the UN in order to prevent Saddam from slaughtering the Kurds and Shia. This is really quite similar to what we did recently in Libya.

From what I can tell the Court ruled that Iran and Hezbollah aided Al Qaeda, so Osama is still guilty.

There's no way the people in the US will tolerate another war. None. Unless the country is directly attacked, whatever president decides to start a war will be promptly impeached. As per sid maier, our war weariness is already too high. Unless you can build one of those wonders of the world to reduce it, I just dont see it happening. Besides, Iran is more likely to self destruct if you just leave them alone. Their leadership isbatsh!t crazy and the common iranian hates their government and crappy economy.

This is why we should have a popular sovereignty on declaring war. Do we even have the money to start another war? Didn't we just send troops to australia?

I'm pleasantly surprised by the reactions around here. It's good to see that my fellow forumites are not buying this BS. As for the misguided widows, screw them. I have no sympathy whatsoever for them. Those widows just want to use my country as a convenient scapegoat in an atttempt to extort compensation from them. I hope they will never get one penny from them!

I'm curious to know how the widows gathered enough evidence to point the finger at Iran as to give their attorneys a good lead on where to continue "digging up" this incriminating evidence of Iran's compliance that lead to the death of these widows' husbands._R34LiTY_

Apparently, the widows base their evidence entirely on claims by a few defectors that my country's pro-terrorist sentiments led them to somehow establish ties with al-Qaeda. The allegation is not particularly credible since al-Qaeda has repeatedly targeted my country for terrorist attacks in the past, and was directly supporting Jundallah, one of the most active anti-Iran terrorist groups, in their operations up to and beyond 9/11.

Note that the win was apparently a DEFAULT judgment. That means Iran failed to file an answer to the plaintiff's complaint even after receiving service of process. So, as I understand it, the judge never determined that Iran was responsible. Default judgment may be the inevitable outcome in cases like these, where a defendant chooses to ignore a lawsuit.

the diplomatic relations between the US and Saudi Arabia are quite good. if not great. the biggest threat to Saudi Arabia is a civil war which is surely coming around in not too many years now. Especially considering Saudi Arabia is built on oil and that oil is running out.

Honestly, no one in america is going to tolerate another war. Whatever president sends the troops on a war of choice, will be promptly impeached. The only way the US is going to war in the near future is if we are specifically attacked. People in this country are so sick and tired of conflict, no one would stomach another war. We've spent too much money, lost and cost too many lives to tolerate some random war. Iraq was unjustified and most people now understand this.

Wait......what stops judges from declaring ANY entity as conspiring with foreign terrorists? Where is the proof that Iran and Hizbolla were coopoeraing with them?
