female species trouble. in other words GIRL HELP!!

PREFACE: You know I usally go into girl trouble topics wondering what losers would talk about girls on a game webiste but now I am the one with the trouble andI apologize....I have no where else to goooo!!!!:cry: anyways back on track heres my story:

THE BACKSTORY:So my highschool is NOT separated into different groups like : the populars, nerds, race, etc. like the ones in movie and its a pretty small school sp everyone knows everyone. That being said, its understood who are the popular people and who are not but no one actually mentions it and if a "loser" wante to hang out with the "popular people" he or she would be accepted because everyone pretty much gets along. SOO I am the guy who is friends with everyone and has fun with everyone. (I have yet to meet a person who doesnt like me and im not trying to sound narcissistic or anything) I have had two girlfriends in my life while my best friend has had none and we are always joking about how he has been rejected 4 times. So he tried asking a girl out last year but miserably FAILED (he asked her to the dance, she said she wasnt going, she showed up at the dance anyways) and we all laugh and joke about now but yeah I think it hurt his self esteem.

THE PROBLEM: so my friend (yes the one who got rejected) told me he liked this girls who is part of the popular group even though she enjoys hanging out with everyone (like me) shes smart, funny,nice, and good looking.Now I kinda like her too butI dont know if I shouldmake a move because it would make my friend feel bad.He however thinks she like me but I say "noo...I dont think so just go up and talk to her" but he never does (I call him George McFly "What if theydon't like it? I cant take that kinda rejection" from back to the future)butI cant help myself from dropping hints to her that I like her.

THE GIRL: her name isMeredith and shes really really cool!I cant tell if she likes me or not!She asked me to draw something for her since I'm good at art, she always says hi,she likes sitting next to me in the classes we have together, and shelikes being my partner during group work,projects,laughs at my jokesetc.So i think she likes me but then she does things like:1.Alot of the time she leaves tobe with other people, shes always around other boys andshestreats them like she treats me,One of her guyclose guy friends told my rejected friend to make his move (even though we all know she doesnt like him) and that same close guy friend of hers told me that he doesnt think she likes me and they are pretty close friends so that really throws me off.

THE QUESTIONS: Do you think she likes me? If so should I make a move even though it might hurt my friends self-esteem? How should I approach her as more than friends (like what should I say to her)? BTW: My rejected friend is DEAD SET convinced that she likes me and not him even though her close friend doesnt think she like me.

Okay: Step 1: Find another girl; give your friend a chance, damnit! Step 2: You need to push your friend in front of that girl's car so that she runs him over. That should work wonders, or so I hear.super_mario_128

Confront your friend. Say "If you want her, make a move". Otherwise you should go for it. I think it's scummy to take a girl a friend likes, but if he's too afriad then it's your time to move, and his own fault he didnt't.locopatho

just be honest tell you buddy that you like her as well and if he already thinks that she likes you i think you have no problem that he will be mad and his self esteem should be intact which is also a good good thing. then once your buddy if fine with it go for it and take a chance and ask her to grab coffee after school or something to that extent nothing like a date just build the relationship up. but one other piece of advice is girls are nothing but trouble

Man Im in the same boat as your are right now except the part about your rejected friend. Theres this girl thats always dropping hints and flirting, but then turns right around and treats other guys the same way she treats me. Girls are complicated >.>Eastdabest

If she's worth being around then she'll completely understand, and if she turns you down then you'll still have a really good friend, but it she doesn't, then hey presto! You've got the girl you wanted.
