well i think it's quite obvious that we prefer something we have control over to something totally random,but reality still has the upper hand since it can be felt via our 5 senses.

Fiction is fun to read because it isn't reality, but nothing really compares. I can say for certain I would not like to live in the Warhammer 40k universe. But taking a stroll through it every once and awhile is rather enjoyable.

You can't say fiction is better than reality, because fiction is part of our reality. Even if it is ephemeral....
