look at the old guy own everyone lol. of course, theyre not REALLY trying to hurt him..
if youve got a lot of...er..."spirit power" (i guess ill call it that) then you could take Aikido. Really kool MA. you use your enemies momentum against him, so you can like, push them down without even trying, because theyre kinda pushing themselves down. its good if you want to defend yourself but not hurt the other person...but it can hurt too...Self_indulgence
Lol..
the only good fighting style is no fighting style, or all fighting styles. If you limit yourself to only one area of fighting you will always have a weakness. And if you want to rely only on your legs and quickness, then you don't understand how speed works. Speed is largely based on overall body strength.. from your core(abdominals) to your legs and all the way to your head. A fast body is one that is strong physicaly both upper and lower.
Anyways.. I'll say it again most people don't know the first thing about fighting even if they've been training in one "style" for 20 years.
A fighter isn't afraid to get hurt, and they definately arent afraid to hurt someone else, but they always know when its appropriate. They master their body.. not just one area, but all areas. It's a nice idea to say I've mastered this "style" of fighting, but it means nothing when you come up to someone who isn't limited by one style.

I heard the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu style is pretty awesome. It relies on god-like fast precise blows with enough power to take a man down in one hit. You must also be very good at reading your opponents moves as well as their emotion.Headbanger88
Rurouni Kenshin is awesome.
Savate street fighting is nice. There was a Savate master who won a fight in a tourney with TWO BROKEN ARMS!!!
He completely changed up his tactics and won using only his feet!!!
I'm looking to take up a martial art or soemthing and I want to learn a style that is fast paced and doesn't require much upper body strength. I have a lot of lower body strength but I would rather not resort to kicks but rather soemthing that is just fast paced. Any ideas?cpo335
If you take any martial art you need to develop upper body strength to block and use more precise and powerful hand techniques. Also I recommend Kickboxing/American karate. It can be very fast and powerful. It's simple it's effective.
If your looking to defend yourself Martial arts will only do you good if your really really good at it. The one that get you tough fast and reliably are Boxing, Kick boxing, and Military Unarmed combat (thats what we call it in canada i dont no what the US calls it)markebici
Dumbest crap I've heard..
