Meh, I'll give it a shot. Can I make it look like IE7? Cuz I really like how this looks and if FF looks like something from 98 I think I'll pass. Yes, I judge software by how pretty it is... Really, no joke.:|

FF3 is a lot faster than FF2. Seriously, FF2 was getting so bogged down in code that it was as slow as IE7, defeating some of the purpose to having the browser.

I'm gonna pass on the pre-releases, but I'm really looking forward to that new address bar. It sounds pretty cool.

http://www.speedtest.net/

just google-search "internet speedtest"

I just tried the speedtest and was floored by the results. In Firefox 2 I usually scored about 2100kb/s. Here I just scored 4600kb/s. That's more than double! Holy crap!

I've been using it a little already. I still think Opera is better. Faster, more secure, and more capable. FF3 is certainly a better broswer than anything else besides Opera though.

Yeah, it's still in the beta stage, but I haven't encountered any problems in the past few weeks. It seems pretty stable.

It is stable. I've been using it since beta 2 and I haven't had that many problems with. A little here and there, but nothing too major.

Ok, how do I enabled JavaScript with FF? It's giving me some damn message telling me to do that. And I know it's installed cuz I JUST DID IT WITH IE7! *sigh* I'm gonna have to play around with this thing. So far I'm not liking it.:?

Does FF3 use the same kinds of themes as FF2? Hm, I wonder if they have an IE7 theme. Edit: HAHAHA! I think I found one.:D Yea no complaints if I have my multiple home page tabs and favorites button that doesn't push the screen over and... yea yea you get it.:P

I think we're polar opposites. I have the Windows 98 theme running on my XP machine because it runs faster that way. :P

I actually might do that. If I'm shopping around for a new browser why not try more then one. Can I change how it looks with themes and stuff? And by that I mean make it look like IE7.:P ^^^^^ I'm actually thinking about installing XP to go along with Vista just for games. Cuz I'm NOT giving up Vista but I want more power to my games. (kind of why I spent so much on this laptop.)

http://my.opera.com/community/customize/skins/ There are hundreds of themes you can find for Opera. It's also faster, safer, and more capable than Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer.

I am on FF3 beta 5 right now. I'm going to give this one a try.

To the TC : If you want to make FF look like IE7, browse the themes add-ons on mozilla.org or check out deviantart.com for some themes and skins.

Theres only one reason why I prefer Firefox over Opera : Firefox has Ad-block plus. If Opera can give me that, I can switch no problems.

Has Opera gotten faster? Because I used it a few years ago and it was slow as hell, so I uninstalled it. The speed-dial thing was nice, but now Firefox has it as well.

Opera has a urlfilter, which is better. I haven't seen an ad since I set it up. You don't even have to install anyhting. 1. Install Opera. 2. Open up notepad 3. save this urlfilter.ini file into C:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\

Has it always been like that, though? Because if you say that then there's no way I'm touching it. Two years ago it was painful to use.

Just try the browser yourself. I don't really care what you do. But in my experience, Firefox+fasterfox extension still isn't as fast as Opera.

Wow it is better, its faster, takes less space in the memory, i like the new look and i like the most visited little folder tho i dont like it saves teh pr0n sites .

PS: I think this is worth mentioning but if u want to dl this make sure u look for updates on your add-ons cuz 90% of all the add-on's i had are not compatible with this.

From the tests Ive been running it either ties or gets beat by IE7. Bout the same for me. I do like Ff though, its pretty straight to the point.
