Google toolbar will do autofill for you.
I have an auto-refresh on so I can check back on whatever I'm looking at periodically, like forums while I'm doing homework.
I have another that downloads flash videos off of websites so that I can convert them for Zune and iPod playback.
That's about it. What else do you need?
All-in-One-Sidebar - extremely smooth management
Tab Mix Plus - for ultimate tab control
Ad Block Plus - It's Ad Block Plus :|

To which one?
StumbleUpon was nice to play around with back when I had Firefox. One of the few add-ons I used.
I use Opera now..which seems to have just about everything you can think of built-in (apparently even an IRC client :?.) No need for any add-ons. Things like search functions are built in (typing "g Gamespot" in the address bar runs the term "Gamespot" through Google, for example) ..self-notes..bookmark nicknames..mouse gestures..lots of great features.
I loved Firefox, but I finally ditched it because of the memory leak issues. 300MB of memory consumption with 2 tabs open..? Yeah, okay.
