First Picture of Aquaman in the new DC movies

Thoughts so far?

Terrible. He needs to cut that beard and remove those eyelashes first.

The hearts on his armor make him look like he'll love you then murder you.

I hope he and his fellow seamen will add some spunk to the movie.

Not bad, not bad at all. Although his hair should be all blond but that's just me but since Thor has facial hair which makes him badass with it in the movies, I can understand WB wants him to have facial hair. To be honest, I thought they were going for Aquaman looks from Justice League: Throne of Atlantis but this is pretty good, just needs to be all blond.

I... I guess I did.. Sorry bout that. Initially, I was quite proud, but now I feel rather empty and sad unfortunately.

I thing the design is alright, I guess. Bit too edgy with that eyebrow and all the tatoos, so I'd like to see that toned down.

Just thought I'd share my actual thoughts on the design.

I don't really have a "preference" on his look based on the comics character since I never followed anything aquaman related but he seems to be rocking a Poseidon look and that's ok in my book.

@korvus: I think the general design idea is great. It's just that shaved eyebrow and a little too much ephasis on what I consider "teenage cool" ;)

At least he does'nt have a nose/nipple piercing.

Couldn't care less. Had some interest when Jeff Nichols was rumored to be in the running to direct - but now word is the studio is eyeing the guy who did '300: Rise of an Empire' ...so **** that.

You know, I totally forgot about that since he did had the facial hair in it which was also cool so I hope it comes close to that.

I'm a fan of Jason Momoa, so I'm okay with this look. Not sure the movie is going to be any good, but we'll see.

What were they thinking? They must have been watching Game of Thrones season 1 and said "Hey, look at Drogo. Don't change a thing. We found our Aquaman". I wonder if Tyrion will also be fighting for the Justice League.

This movie is going to suck so bad.

It seems fine as fantastical comic book fluff; but these dc movies seem to be trying to turn it into the dark knight crossed with the avengers.

You should read the New 52 Aquaman series. It's one of the best DC put out.

There are a couple alternate universe versions that aren't... but they appear about once or twice. Aquaman is blonde.
