A Florida Mom wants to ban these books because she quote

"My kids are going to school to learn, not to become a homosexual or an abortion doctor or an atheist,"

Disgusting. Book censorship is wrong, especially for something as moronic as the mere mention of atheism or abortion.

How about, instead of calling to ban these books, the mother, say, PARENTS her children, to prevent them from becoming "homosexuals or abortion doctors".

Because she apparently doesn't want her children to become outcasts or something. She doesn't want them to think for themselves. She's afraid the world may "hurt them" so to speak. Guess what lady, they'll have to leave the house and live their life someday :|

I agree, religious belief is based on individuality. No one can choose for you, not your parents, not your friends, nobody. only you. same goes for being gay being gay isn't exactly a choice (it's a sexual preference that cannot be controlled) so she can't control that either.
