I ended up ordering my friend the following books:

The Complete Locations of Star Wars: Inside the Worlds of the Entire Star Wars Saga
The Complete Visual Dictionary of Star Wars: The Ultimate Guide to Characters and Creatures from the Entire Star Wars Saga
Sculpting a Galaxy: Inside the Star Wars Model Shop

My best guy friend's birthday is next week. He's a major Star Wars fan. I want to get him some cool Star Wars collectable or book. I want to spend no more than $75 bucks.

Suggestions from other fans?

If he has a game system reserve him Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Looks sick, takes place between the 3rd and 4th movies and you work with VADER!

Get him some of the star wars comic trades.There is usually a decent stock at borders or B&N. I recomend Star wars Tales vol 1 as a good start. should be easy to find, and worth it to any fan. If he isnt into SW comics he will thank you later.

Freakin sweet, one of the best franchise cross overs, in my opinion atleast, has been the Star Wars Transformers series. I'm not a huge fan of Transformers, and a moderate Star Wars geek, but this series definatly caught my eye. The Millenium Falcon Han/Chewie deluxe one is quality, and relativly cheap ($30).
