just all the Pixar movies and the like, Toy Story, Cars etc.tommat119944Agreed with this guy. The likes of Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Wall-E are where it's at. Or try The Lion King aswell.

And i really enjoyed Finding Nemo then. And these movies are great because they appeal to the older audience aswell, as long as you don't care about your coolness or whatever when watching them.

Movies that both children and adults can enjoy.
I agree the more recent Disney cartoons like Anastasia might be good try stuff like Mulan and that Atlantis oneAlso, Anastasia. It was made in the '90s. She'll love the animation and the protagonist, and she'll have a quick history lesson on soviet Russia. Edutainment!

[QUOTE="Infinite-Zr0"]Go with Toy Story, let her watch something kids her age enjoyed when she wasn't even born yet.JML897
When you say it like that...it makes me feel old. :?
I remember when it came out and my parents actually took me to the theater. I had to pick between Toy Story and Tom and Huck. I feel old...I loved Atlantis. I don't know if I would say it was the best, but I really, really liked it.Atlantis: The Lost Empire. ;)
Best Disney film ever, IMO.

Actually, Anastasia was from the Fox Studios, not Disney. It does have that classic Disney feeling to it though, it had incredible animation.
I would also recommend The Secret of NIMH, an oldie but still a goodie :)
Wall-E is good.gobo212
Wall-E should be watched by every man, woman and child on the planet regardless of age. Not only is it probably the most touching and thought provoking animated feature of all time it even ranks among the best live action offerings from recent years.
If you watched Wall-E and didnt absolutely love it and didnt almost cry at some point you dont have a heart. It was that good.
Some of my childhood favorites :
The Rescuers
The Sword in the Stone
The Land Before Time ( original one, all the other ones were terrible ).
The Secret of Nimh
The Great Mouse Detective ( possibly the best cartoon animation ever made )
An American Tale. ( first one only, follow up was garbage ).
Best kids type movie of all time :
The Adventures of Mark Twain.
It has some objectionable content and a lot of stuff a really young child wont understand but it is a milestone in film making and should be watched by yourself even if the child cant.
Every Disney movie before The Lion King and Pixar movies.
Also, Anastasia. It was made in the '90s. She'll love the animation and the protagonist, and she'll have a quick history lesson on soviet Russia. Edutainment!

Whoa, Anastasia! I rememeber that one. It was really good. The Disney princesses movies are classics: any young girl could enjoy them. And there's this old Richie Rich movie that I watched a dozen times cause it was so good(from a kid's point of view). I don't know much about today's kid movies.
I would never recommend the High School Musical movies, though. They are so...ugh...stupid. But that's just my opinion.
Every kid deserves to see at least one Miyazaki movie in his or her childhood...

Oh My God!! You are so right:D Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service... anything Miyazaki has done I would say is a masterpiece.
A recent goody was Kung Fu Panda. I personally couldn't get into Wall-E as there's only about ten lines of actual dialogue, everything else is pretty much just "Wall-eee." And of course the ever awesome classics like Toy Story, the Lion Kind, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.
NOOOOOOO! Please do NOT show your daughter Hannah Montana! Do not even mention it to her please! :evil:MILEY CYRUS/hannah montana???

Quoted for truth! :D I had Spirited Away. How I loved that movie. :P Though, my sister lent it somebody and never got it back.
You must remind her that life isn't a bed of roses so I say Bambi and Charlotte's Web
vitriolboy
Charlotte's Web, good choice! :D Although, the sad ending might upset her... Anyway, how about Journey to the Center of the Earth, Sky High, The Adventures of Sharkboy and LavaGirl,

PrincessMorte
The High School Musical movies are not targeted to you which is why you don't like them.
My daughter and her friends, who are all going to be 9 this year, would never pick a Disney princess movie over HSM or Hannah Montana.
