That's actually pretty good. But, like almost all hip-hop, it's about events--and is basicallly intended to brag and/or complain about them. That's a big turn off for me.
The music I like is sometimes about events, but only for alluding to something bigger and more interesting.

I'll go with "The Garbage on the Radio Today." There is absolutely no reason why hip hop, in the format and concept, can't be good. Problem is that alot of the crap today that is all about guns, gangs, and objectifying women. Makes you with Tupac and Biggie didn't get shot, I presume. >_>
I don't like it because I think it is talentless. It is just speaking over a beat and so many people can do that. There are millions of kids everywhere you can rhyme in time, I've always felt that someone who has learnt an instrument or some sort of skill deserves more of my respect. Also, I don't like the people who listen to it. All the people who I know that love it are white and middle class. I don't wanna make that fact about myself anymore obvious :P Just my thoughts anways.
I listen to it but I prefer when it has a meaning to it; hence, why I like Tupac the most. Now I really only listen to hip hop or rap because I like the beats.

There is some good rap, I will listen to some of the old stuff. But its rare.

There is some good rap, I will listen to some of the old stuff. But its rare.
Yah but really there isnt much, at least mainstream stuff. My ipod is all rap music and 90% of my songs i get off mixtapes and other stuff while the other 10% is stuff that i actually liked on the radio.
