I really like A Day to Remember as well.  Since your definition of rock seems pretty broad I'll also include Say Anything and Twenty One Pilots since they are pretty much my favorite bands.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are quite awesome as well.  And Weezer and the White Stripes.  Honestly there's a lot of rock bands of different styles that I like a lot.  I feel like I could go on.

I hate to sound like someones dad, but Rolling Stones.

Right now I've been listening to drone and space rock. Headdress, Enos, and Farflung (pretty much Hawkwind worship) are dominating my rock listening.

Probably The Who (especially the Quadrophenia album), also like some Led Zeppelin and Dire Straits.

system of a down is more of a metal band in my opinion.  Definitely a hard rock / nu metal type band

lol I actually liked Nickelback before they released Dark Horse.  Silver Side Up, The Long Road, and All The Right Reasons were great albums.  Saw them live and they were amazing.  Then came Dark Horse...now i cannot view them the same.

Favorite is easily Parkway Drive Love the music and the message.

For rock, probably Foreigner. For metal, Rhapsody.
