Just goes to show peoples' priorities.

It's still a witch hunt to find the most convenienbt scapegoat. Why is this a story about X-Box live, instead of a story about the internet in general?

Bottom line is that when kids go online in any sort of capacity, they are venturing into a vast and sometimes despicable frontier. People like to blame **** on X-Box live because they are too lazy to monitor their kids' internet use, in EXACTLY the same way that people tried to blame Marilyn Manson for corrupting the children because they didn't have the time to monitor what music their kids were listening to.

All this does is show how some things never change.

I appreciate that Fox News balances out the radical leftist extremism displayed by ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN, but their attacks on video games are over the top. If anything, Xbox Live is just a place where college students go to yell obscenities, racist expletives, call eachother names, and generally enjoy the lack of oversight. Never in my years of playing Xbox online have I encountered anyone trying to seduce kids or even women. Sure people say crude things for fun, but sexual predators? No.

Microsoft would have no solid legal standing to sue, but i agree with you about parenting. If your child is young enough to be taken in by a sexual predator, he or she shouldn't be on the internet unsupervised in the first place.
