Anyone else like his music? I used to be skeptical, believing him to be just another "eh" R&B artist (I don't usually like that genre), but then I actually sat down and listened to some of his songs. I was pleasantly surprised, with both Nostalgia, Ultra and Channel Orange. Some of my favorites are:

Strawberry Swing

Crack Rock

White

Bad Religion

Pink Matter

We All Try

Songs For Women

Thinking Bout You

Novacane

Pyramids

Yeah. That doesn't matter to me. I actually applaud him for doing that, especially considering it was before his mainstream album debut, and also in a part of the music industry that's known for its "homophobia."

I'm not all that familiar with his music, but I do think it is cool that he is an out gay/bisexual hip-hop artist.

For those that haven't listened to his music, you should check out some of the songs I listed. They are my personal favorites.

It's okay if you haven't heard of Frank Ocean, Kevlar.

He's easily one of the better singers out there. His lyrics are far ahead of the competition, not surprising considering he comes from the OF collective. Still not as good as Kwes

Some of his songs are ridiculousy deep. That's what sets him apart from the usual R&B crowd I think.

I wish he wouldn't dabble with auto tune, but other than that, he's amazing.

Love your avatar. But yeah, I agree with the autotune thing. No idea why he does it sometimes. It still usually sounds good when he does it, but his normal voice is amazing enough already.

You don't have to contribute to every threads, especially this crap.

On topic: he's pretty good, but not amazing.

R&B is a genre that has never clicked with me. It is good to see that a mainstream black music artist can come out and still maintain most if not all of his popularity, though.
