I really doubt they'd carry on doing the show without the main voices. I mean new voices for secondary characters would be one thing, but Fry and Bender??? No way.

i was hoping itd stay cancelled anyway. i mean i loved the movies but i DONT want to see it go the way of family guy. didnt 2 cancellations tell them anything? i love futurama and family guy but people who like family guy hate on south park. now lets see has sp ever been cancelled? fat chance they are comedy centrals top rated show and that means they help bring the most big bucks so cc would never dream of it. but being canned should tell people something blah end rant
I knew this Futurama would go downhill when it was revived, before the friggin thing is even made? I was glad that Futurama was cancelled when it was, so that unlike Family Guy, The Simpsons, and Spongebob, it will be remembered as the great show it was, instead of going downhill and becomming a pile of crap. Looks like that won't happen.
I suspected that the new series might be nothing but a disappointment, going by the films, but I didn't think I'd find that out until it actually started.
A different sounding Hermes? I'd be angry, but it wouldn't manage to ruin the programme completely. Any character more central than that and it would have been better of staying cancelled.
What is the point in bringing it back. Surely they would be better off creating a new show, because the new Futurama just wouldn't be Futurama.

I agree completely. If it doesn't have the same cast, then the characters won't really be the same characters...and then they may as well make a new show. It could still be set in the Futurama universe, but you'd have to introduce a new crop of characters.
This news can bite my shiny metal ass. :| Seriously Futurama won't be the same without the origonal actors, especially without John DiMaggio, and Billy West.
I don't want bender's or fry's to change.. everyone else can but they need to keep that same tone for both of those characters IMO they make that show how great it is! NEED original cast for them!!!!
If this actually happens, I won't even bother watching it. They could maybe (MAYBE) get by without a few of the voice actors, but John DiMaggio IS Bender. And how could they carry would without Billy West, seriously? Are they really going to try to find someone just as good to do the voices of Fry, Zoidberg, the Professor and Zap Brannigan?
there still a low chance it something good matt groenig alway found good voice for is show he made : I'm french and i like is Quebec Actor he picked up But I like also the english voice actor : mean while it possible we have the same Voice Actor for Quebec Dubs :
this is sad that Billy West is gone i liked it when i watched Futurama english :D I watch all in both language : South park / Simpsons / Futurama / American Dad
and FAmily Guy (Only english they stop to dub it in quebec at season 2 end)
btw guys,do you think it's worth a watch for a non-american (i'm iranian) or there will be so many cultural sarcasms i won't get at all? i'm asking this because i've heard so many good things about it here in OT and i've actually started to download it already. but it's around 12,13 gigs; hence the DLing process will be last almost forever with my internet speed,though i'll tolerate it anyways if you say it's any good.

This. Futurama was one of the greatest shows ever, this'll ruin it. Bender is one of the greatest, most original cartoon characters ever made, and it's all because of the voice talent. Same with the rest of the characters, they are all so original and unique, unlike Simpsons.

I'd try it. It really is intended for Americans and makes fun of American culture a lot. But its very good and sometimes viewing things from other cultures can be interesting in itself.
