the tech from the game is based off a real suit being trialled by the US army, it proberbly won't get outside of delta force or seals though

There is actually an army advert on TV here in Britain showing a soldier controlling a surveilance plane from a laptop, and he's using a 360 controller! :)
Iv also seen on some program a soldier controlling a robot to disarm explosives using a 360 controller. Its because its so damn comfortable!
Large scale warfare will consist out of people sitting behind PC's and controlling armies of different type of drones. Soldiers will only be used when the major battles are over. Soldiers will probably be like the soldiers from GRAW. At the end, information will be the key to victory. The one who has the inferior information systems will lose to the one with the superior ones. It reminds me of wallhacks in FPS games. Whoever has the best wallhack wins.

Yea i saw that, saw a US soldier controlling one of those robots to disarm a bomb 0.o very coolWhat i think is funny is how techniques used in videogames for combat don't really work in real life, in a game, you always run side to side and jump, yet noone ever does it for real, it would be really wierd if in real warzones you saw people cirlestrafing and bunnyhopping.rb2610
If you play an unrealistic game then of course you'll be able to do unrealistic things in the game.
I was watching the Bourne Identity when he's running from the sniper and was thinking, "for goodness sake, run side to side, you'll be harder to hit" which i realised was quite stupid and funny.rb2610i lol'd
The future of the military is bacomeing much more high tech, a new system is being tested in the american and british army's for use by every soldier on the battlefield otherwise it has no use whatsoever the system is called F.I.S.T (i think is the british name for it the amercan version has a slightly different name) F.I.S.T satands for (future infantry soldier tecnology) this system allows soldiers all over the battlefield to be connected through HUD (heads up display) and radio this system as someone has already said is like ghost recon advanced warfighter. it allows great analysis and control on the batllefield. it makes use of many ULM's (unmaned land veihicles) and UAV (unmaned areil vehicles) to survey the forward battlefield. and then act on situations e.g room clearence. and looking for booby traps.

maybe with that exo skeleton it would happen, except it would be more crysis esq, sprinting at 30mph followed by a 20ft jump, that might shake a sniper off
lol im lucky i make other people do drill.
we don't enter the comps were kinda half assed.
we haven't even done rifle drill have u?
I saw a news broadcast recently on future warfare. Fully functional, remote-control aeroplanes that are based in Nevada but can be controlled and fight in Afghanistan. I must say that is pretty epic.flowdee79
Did you see the "artillery-in-a-box" weapon platform? Basically it's a box that holds missles. Because it's a simple looking box, you can deploy it quickly. Once deployed it can be used by the guys behind the PC's instantly.
