yea pretty much.

it's double egded, i think. summer means more people go on vacation, so they're not on gamespot. and then the people that are still at work are picking up the slack, so they have less time to be on Video Game Forums.

or it could be that the review of Final Fantasy Tactics that just came out is scaring everyone off.

From 2003-2005 for me. I remember seeing 9000+ users online then. Now I rarely see that.

Why did it stop? It didn't have to, but Cnet/Gamespot ended it, imo.

On a average Gamespot users online now was about 8,000 and for the past few days i have noticed that it went down hard and on average now a days it only 2000 online users now and why is that? mohan88

Because Gamespot forums are quickly decreasing in quality. The past month or so, it has been dead around here, full of crappy topics. At first, i thought it might have been down to the GTA IV release, but its still bad now. Plus more and more people are not coming on since they are annoyed with the direction in which the boards are moving -You cannot post much anymore without being modded for some reason or another.

Even less now.
