Dumbledore since he basically constructed every event that lead to Voldermorts demise, including his own death. Now that's pretty badass. Gandalf may be more powerful but Dumbledore was a clever dude. :P

Well, I was just implying that while both have been made into movies, Gandalf may or may not have been in the Hobbit, which is a book just like the lord of the rings but hasn't been made into a movie yet (which is why I'm unsure). You know what I mean?
I like both characters (for Dumbledore especially after the actor changed) but I will go with Gandalf because of his background, the way his presence in his respective universe is set, the "gravity" I feel that the story has compared to Harry Potter and other details such as that I am a LOTR fan. :P
