I've heard they're good novels, but the only WH40K related books I've read are the Daemonhunters ones. I'll probably give them a try some day.

Ive read the first 3 books in the series... theyre really good (alot better then is to be expected)

I read the first couple books....back when they came out. i think that was like 9 years ago? They were pretty good, iirc. I remember that Gotrek and Felix and GG were the first Black Library books. I also really liked the Eisenhorn trilogy, if anyone's read that.

I am currently chewing myself through the Eisenhorn omnibus, its not bad, just way different, it is kinda a look at how the empire is, and how corrupt, or damaged its population is ^^

Yeah, it's definitely very different. Good different though, imo. Then again, I always loved the WH40K Inquisition. Be warned though: the ending feels really rushed. Abnett was constrained by the 300 page limit and had to cut out chunks of the final battle.
