I've been listening to a lot of the previous releases on Anjunabeats lately (if you don't know this label, you better do yourself a favour and check out its releases!).
Stuff like:
Endre - Kallocain (Robert Nickson Remix)
Mark Pledger - On The Edge (Mike Shiver's Catching Sun Remix)
Daniel Kandi - Nova (Original Rise Mix)
But some of the more recent I've been enjoying:
Dave Horne - Pushing Air (Dan Stone Remix)
OceanLab vs. Mike Shiver - If I Could Fly On The Surface (Daniel Kandi Mashup)
7 Skies - Caffeine (Original Mix)
My last two blogs have 21 great tracks. I'm not trying to promote my blog, just go to the links (link to the blog posts is in my sig).
I love when there's a trance thread on Gamespot, but I never know where to begin when listing what people should lsiten to, and there's far too many songs that I love to list.
You need to list Juice by GMS if you're going to mention psytrance. :palso, any love for psytrance?

Back when I was learning to drive, my driving instructer would listen to trance. It would have to listen to trance for like 2 hours a day, it was horrible. And the windows were down and people were out... ugh the looks...cpo335Yeah, ha must have been some super cheesy trance. Some really good tracks in here.
also, any love for psytrance?

You're a good person.
Radio Slave- Grindhouse (Dubfire Terror Planet remix)Solid-CELLGood tune, no doubt, but not even close to being trance.
Damn, it's a good thing you provided us with real trance then. :roll:I see no real trance in this thread, only prog garbage :(
I wish trance would get back to its roots.

Tehe, of course dj_pulserfan decided to show up to a trance thread. Anyway, no disrespect to you, but I am quite simply tired of hearing that. Yes, the early days of trance were great, but the longer you dwell on the past, the more you miss out on the great stuff still being made. I'd say Anjunabeats is a great example of that, with artists like Sunny Lax, Nitrous Oxide, Daniel Kandi, etc.I see no real trance in this thread, only prog garbage :(

I know I know. But all I'm saying when songs like "Broken Tonight" are being considered the norm as "trance" you can tell the genre has some serious issues. Back then a song like that would have made the masses laugh him out of our little community.

Hmm yea, this is the first time I've signed onto GS in a long time; university work is lovely! Certainly many of the famous DJs have felt compelled to produce what basically is pop music -- much different than the (better) stuff they made in their earlier years, but look elsewhere and you'll find some genuine talent (which in my opinion includes the songs I posted earlier) . However, where it's at now I believe, and what I like the most, is House music. Artists like Jaytech, Paul Keeley, Michael Cassette, Jay Lumen, Gui Boratto, Solarity, 16 Bit Lolitas, to name a few.melodic
Assassin1349
And this is what trance is missing these days. That feel that drove the songs, they just don't have it anymore. Yes trance is still good don't get me wrong but alot of them just miss "something".

I'm not real good at trance genres.
What genres would these examples fall under?
Melt to the Ocean, Exploration of Space, Back to Earth
Faith (Loafer mix) by Starecase
Urban Train
Yet Another Day
L'Ezperanza by Airscape
I'd call those all trance. Also I mentioned tracks in my blog. Take two seconds to look at those too (not asking you to comment or even read it).

Holy crap I'm in love with your list! Those are infact trance.
See the things that tick me off are mostly over exposed artist like Dash Berlin & Myon & Shane 54 making all this "prog-trance" as they call it. But it's just not trance, prog was something special now it's basically an excuse to create pop music with trancy beats.
Never heard of them. o.O I'm fairly new when it comes to trance. Right now I'm going through A State of Trance. I'm only at Episode 30 or so, which was 2001. But I've got like... Magik 1-7, In Search of Sunrise 1-3 and 5, and a few other Tiesto albums and some other trance ones. Good to know I'm on the right track. ^_^Holy crap I'm in love with your list! Jesus lol.
If you need any recommended albums here are some.
Anjunabeats 1-5 skip 6 and get 7.
Above & Beyond - Tri-State
Armin van Buuren - 76
Ferry Corsten - Passport to the Netherlands, Right of Way. Under his System F and Gouryella it's best just to get the best of "System F & Gouryella" since it has all the Gouryella tracks and the most worthwhile of System F tracks minus needlejuice.
Gabriel & Dresden - Toolroom Knights, Self Titled album
BT - ESCM, R&R, This Binary Universe, Emotional Technology
Jaytech - Everything is OK
Paul Oakenfold - Bunkka, Perfecto Presents Another World & Creamfields
Scott Bond & Matt Hardwick - Gatecrasher Resident Transmission 02
Underworld - dubnobasswithmyheadman, Second Toughest in the Infants, A Hundred Days Off, Oblivion With Bells, and Underworld 1992-2002 since it has a lot of singles.
