I am a Christian though.. I just don't pray to Mary, so I definitely am not using the Rosary as a prayer bead. th3warr1orSo what are you using it for? Fashion?

Yes, i'll be offended, a Rosary is a symbol of pray for us it was made for praying a Rosary, so using it only for fashion would be a disrespect to an article that was meant for praying, on a second though, maybe not offended, but kind of umconfortable.
Lol, this makes sense I guess.I don't think a label symbolising materialism should go on a rosary.

Catholics pray to Mary so that she might talk to Jesus/God about it. personally I just tell Jesus/God directly. What? Why do they pray to Mary and not Jesus?
Patatopan
Designer Rosary? Well I guess since it's the new "hot" thing to wear it makes sense for a company to charge money for them.
It's moments like this 3warr1or that force me to try to figure out how to get you off my friends thing.Taryn-Lulz, except when you need help.
Why would you wear a Rosary if you were not Catholic? That's like me praying five times a day with my sajjāda even though I'm not really Muslim.gamesockI'm a Christian lol. It's more like a Taoist praying to Buddha rather than praying 5x a day when you're not a muslim.
well i myself am catholic. but i wouldn't get offened. i probably wouldnt even care.i mean, its u doing it.not me, so what could i do. but ur not supposed to wear them anyway. just to pray with. but whatever, i definetly wouldnt lose any sleep over it.lol
I always remember being told in Catholic school that they aren't supposed to be worn. But I could be wrong. Either way, I wouldn't worry about what a church thinks of my fashion choices.

I would never, ever, ever wear a rosary, they carry a thick gang represence...much like a bandana.
and the black one is CRIP related item. be careful.
+1; I also feel the same way when i see people with weird Keychains things, tattoos, piercings, etc.I see chav guys and girls wearing baby blue and light pink rosaries and I think, "Why?"
Seriously, I'm not offended by it. But I don't see why rosaries are cool. They make you look stupid imo. It bugs the hell out of me.
Murj
And I know that it may be a sign of depression if people have these things, and I should be supportive, but it just bugs me.
What? No. Why would we/they care?
I guess I wouldn't understand why you would, real rosary beads are really long and cumbersome, but if you really wanna be viewed as Catholic or somehow see style within them then go for it I guess. I've seen worse fashion fads.
depends ALOT on what group of Catholics you think about, and thier placement on the world map, I very much doubt the European Catholics gives a d*mn, as long as you dont wear a hat in thier churches :P
the american? well up north I think they are pretty indifferent, but south it might be a bit of a problem.
a religions placement in the world generally effects the way it thinks far more then the book it follows.
*sigh* Sometimes a symbol by itself....or incorrectly used can offend. And telling someone to get a life....seriously dude.:roll:You should wear it if you want to and if anyone gets 'offended' you can tell them to get a life.
