First on blu-ray (fair enough), but then once again in cinemas as Star Wars 3D.
ZWAH!
When will the milking and ruining of childhoods end? :(

As long as he is making money, he doesn't care. When will the milking and ruining of childhoods end? :(

Because i thought you could only retread the same old movies to a certain extent. There has to be a line somewhere. :(Why are you surprised by this?

Maybe...just MAYBE...this could be an opportunity to right some of the horrifying wrongs that St. George inflicted upon my fragile psyche with his previous attempt. This COULD be an opportunity to make amends. For example... HAN SHOT FIRST DAMNIT!!nocoolnamejim
Nuh uh it was Greedo!
tbh I would rather see a reboot of episodes 4, 5, and 6 before seeing them in 3D
heresy, I know...but I think it would be good.

How dare you.
How dare I? How Dare I? How dare you to suggest that Han shot first. Greedo is the only one in that cantina to have the intestinal fortitude to go in for the kill first, Han is just a goody two-shoes in a hollow tough-guy shell that wouldn't even so much as think about shooting another thing before it had the chance to attack!
We must have a duel! *puts hand on pistol*

Anything to get Empire Strikes Back on the bigscreen is a win in my book. Every 5 years or so they should just put the original trilogy up in movie theaters for a week just to make me happy.

Han Solo is the epitome of rugged manliness! How dare you imply that some lizard faced alien greaseball could get the first shot from two feet away at Han! I mean, if events HAD unfolded how you alleging them to have unfolded, why aren't Han's brains decorating the wall of the Mos Eisley cantina? ;)
Who won is not the question, but rather who shot first. I severly doubt Han would have the thermal detonators to attack first but, as a smuggler, he has intense agility which allowed him to avoid being hit!

You're going on as if you don't know Han really shot first in the original version of the movie. Are you not aware of that, or are you just being stubborn? I'm only asking this because there are people of all different ages in here, and sometimes you assume something is common knowledge when it isn't.[QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"]

Hmm. And astonishing speed to have him move so fast that not only did he dodge...he appeared not even to have moved because he moved back to his original position so quickly that ordinary mortals would be under the impression he just sat there and Greedo missed from two feet away before Han retaliated and blasted Greedo's sorry green hiney? I SUPPOSE that might make sense...i dont mind him putting it on blu-ray but 3D, eh i wouldnt go cuz i already saw it in 2D so there is no point
Who uses red and blue glasses anymore? Obviously you haven't seen a 3D movie in years.I for one are looking forward to the Original Star Wars being released in the Cinemas, I've always wanted to see them on the big screen :P but im not convinced by this 3D business, I dont want to see a movie from behind red and blue sun glasses.
andalore
Blu-ray was obvious, but 3D? For the love of god I wish 3D would just hurry up and die again and this time have the decency to stay dead.
Ewoks in 3D........pass. Lucas already has enough of my money. If he can't do anything new on the big screen, he can go sod off.

A rule!
Its release name needs to be something like
Space Balls: Star wars the re-re-re-released need more money edition
Clearly Han Solo was a Jedi. It would totally explain just how Han Solo was able to move so fast so as to dodge a blaster shot at point blank range. The Force was clearly strong with him. CLEARLY!!!

Well ****! Your astonishing reasoning has convinced me. Obviously Han couldn't have possibly shot first since he was a good guy and Lucas' last remake pass was just correcting a horribly unjust rumor about Han ever since the "glitch" with the first version of the movie convinced everyone that Han was bad*** enough to have shot first.Hey Han and Luke...you're lookin fine today. Why don't you just take off those pants and bend over?
*Sorry to anyone who does not watch South Park*

I just wanted to double-check. Some people really think that's the only way the movie's ever been.[QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="nocoolnamejim"] Hmm. Obi-Wan simply lucked out but the stormtroopers felt like having a laugh and humored him.
