Is this possible or is it a myth?
My mom keeps on telling me the same **** over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
My reply would "ya, i understand" every time, but she would reply "no, i dont think you understand" then she would talk about the same **** all over until i get really annoyed and pissed off and yell "i KNOW WHAT IS ****ING WRONG AND WHAT IS ****ING RIGHT GOD ****ING DAMNIT!!".This is usually where the arguing stops and not talk again until the next day. Then after a week or so, she would say the same **** all over again. This usually happens when she sees some kid doing some stupid stuff on the news.neroburner52

"3. Respect them" I believe that was in the first post... yep I agree that respect goes both ways; so why not start with yourself?

Basically, you're a leech until you move out. The Father wants you out while the Mother wants you to stay as long as possible...
And respect...it has to go both ways...if one party does not obey, why should the other one...Â
Most of the time respect gets jumbled in with common courtesy, appreciation, and tons of other things. Most people see respect as some sort of ranking that makes others better than one another, and that's just foolish.
It really agravates me when people act like they deserve a certain level of respect and then say something like "respect has to be earned". Normally I just say you don't even know what respect means, and then I ignore them.

How to keep your parents off your back?
Do well in school.
Get a job. And keep it.
Stay out of trouble, don't embarrass your family's name.
Stay out of the police blotter, stay out jail, stay out of squad cars, stay out of courtrooms.Â
Help them out around the house.
Keep your room clean.
Be social with other people, don't dick around in your basement all day everyday.
Â
You do that and they have no reason to get on your case.Â
