Very..VERY well deserved. I saw the film and was simply put..stunned.
Not only did he perform amazingly excellent in The Last King of Scotland...but his performance in Season 5 of my favorite TV-Show, The Shield...MIND-BLOWING.
I agree with all the very well deserved comments. I was really thinking that there's no way he would win even though I thought he was the one who most deserved the oscar and I was mighty suprised, but very happy indeed, when they called his name.

Yes, I actually do (under "KdoubleA" ) And yeah, I agree, it IS the BEST show on TV, and Forest Whitaker was definitely SNUBBED at the EMMYs (and Michael Chiklis [just like every other year :(.........except the first :P ] ); guess winning an oscar made up for it :D
