First off, I wanna say it has been about two years since the disappearance of my previous gf and now I am finally ready to move on. So naturally this is going to be the first time I will be dating in a while. However this time it's a little different. With my first girlfriend we were bff's since elementary school, thus we REALLY knew each other when we finally starting dating, and in this case we really don't know much about each other and I really don't know much on how these things progress Anyway, in my English class in college me and this random girl (pretty good looking I might add) started talking about an assignment right after class. It was nothing more than small talk. Even though we just met, on the elevator down idk why but I just randomly/causally asked her to the school play, and she said 'yeah,' then we continued on with some more small talk. However, during the whole time I was talking to her she seemed completely uninterested in me? I was actually surprised when she said 'yeah,' I thought she wanted the conversation to end between us because of her enthusiasm. My question is what's the deal with her? Some random information: I was creeping on her formspring, and someone asked her three days ago "You've never been in a relationship with someone, are you a lesbian or something?" And her response was, "Lol no I just havn't found the right guy yet."
Asking her to a school play seems like a "friend hangout" kind of thing. Not a date. IMO it depends on how you asked herpowerman89

Some girls are just weird. Dude, totally show up to the play ready to be yourself, don't hold back. If she still acts weird then its her. I had same problem my freshmen year of college, the girl turned out to be real quiet and spacey. Good luck.

The only way to not get things in the friend zone is physical contact. Start out with just joking around, hi 5, thumb war, stupid crap like that, then keep cranking it up till holding hand/ kissing. If you dont excalate physically it always ends in the FZ

UPDATE: I just called her up to see if she was still on for the date, and she said she was sick. That explains why she coughed that one time in the middle of class, and it explains her enthusiasm. :P
