I'm a pretty firm believer in the idea that most Americans have just as equal an opportunity to advance as any others, but sometimes I lose my convincing. Take for example this girl (http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/business&id=7425321) , that her "investors" (her mom and dad) gave her 100,000 dollars for her to make a social media website and a t-shirt website. She is now considered the genius of the school and is getting tons of attention from the media. I find this slightly unfair. I did a little more research, and from what I can see, she didn't even make the website, that 100 grand paid people to do it. Throughout school I was the kid everyone liked that could program websites, software, games, and pretty well anything else awesome, yet, my teachers all just said that was silly. The rich kids on the other hand that talked about wanting to learn those things, got all the attention and were deemed "the smart ones". This story kind of brought back those school memories for me. Nyone else feel this way about this stuff....?
