Ozymandias by Percy Shelley

Analysis and commentary

I don't read much poetry, but this one I like - the author gets his point across efficiently and the poem is thought provoking and has a surprising amount of depth considering it's length. Your thoughts?

I read this poem in class a couple of months back and let me tell you, it's a really really really good poem. It shows how a powerful tyrant can be forgotten and almost become nothing after death. Love this poem.

Great poem.  But's it's no Whitman.  Some fun alliteration in there, but the meter is tiresome.  Read John Donne for even more depth.
